A couple of days had passed and I couldn't stop thinking about what Diago said. I couldn't help but think that he was right.
I was alone in Five's room and I decided to test out my powers and see what they could do. I sat down on the bed as I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate. When I opened my eyes I looked down to my hands which were glowing purple. I then looked around me to see that everything in the room was floating around in the air. Suddenly I heard a voice come from the doorway, causing me to jump. Everything then fell to the ground as I turned to see Five standing at the door. "What the fuck?" He said in shock. "Five, I can explain!" I said getting up off the bed and walking over to him.
"You lied to me!" He said. "Okay, you want the truth?" I questioned. He nodded. "My father was a terrible person and I'm glad the handler killed him!" I said before getting tears in my eyes. I sat down on the bed with tears rolling down my cheeks as I looked down to the floor. "What do you mean?" Five asked in a soft voice as he sat down beside me. "He tortured his children for the past 14 years, trying to give us superpowers like the Hargreaves family," I said, looking at him upset. "I'm so sorry," he said, whipping a tear from my face. "I was the only one who got powers and all of my brothers and sisters died," I added. "For so long I was trying to hide my powers and keep them hidden, but now I realize I should use them for good," I said as Five wiped another tear from my cheek.
"Mel, I really care about you, and it hurts me to see you like this," He said, trying to look me in the eyes, but I kept avoiding eye contact with him. "Mel..." he said before I looked up at him catching his gaze. "I love you, I have loved you since the day we met," he said. I looked down to his lips then back to meet his gaze and thinking about how much I wanted to kiss him at that moment. Everything then went silent. I leaned in and kissed him. He didn't hesitate to kiss back. After a few seconds we broke apart gasping for air. I smiled at him before leaning my head onto his shoulder.
