"What are you doing?"

Normani had once again found herself alone on campus, but this time she was not in hiding. She had been waiting for Dinah, Zendaya, and Ally's class to end so that they could all go home together. It was Tuesday afternoon, and the girls had decided to all gather at Normani's house for a sleepover so that Normani wouldn't be left alone to 'wallow in self-pity'. Dinah's words.

Normani had a free period her last period of the day, and so she found herself outside in the courtyard, attempting to study for her upcoming Calculus exam. She had grown bored of reading the same page over and over, and not being able to retain any information so she turned to her cellphone for an easy distraction.

That had been when Camila Cabello had decided to grace Normani with her presence. Normani glanced up from her phone to see Camila standing over her, hands in the pockets of her ripped jeans, and sunglasses adorning her face, blocking her eyes from the intense LA sun's glaring UV rays.

"This is the second time in two days you've graced me with your presence. I feel honored," Normani flashed a small smirk up at Camila, and Camila scoffed as she rolled her eyes.

"Don't think too much into it. I was walking to my car, and I saw you sitting here," Camila stated, offering a casual shrug of her shoulders, "Can I sit?"

"Free country," Normani said before she returned her gaze back to her cellphone. She felt Camila's presence at her side seconds later, and she glanced to her left to see Camila settling down on the ground, leaning back against the trunk of the tree Normani had chosen to sit under.

"What are you doing?" Camila questioned again, looking over at Normani.

"I had been attempting to study for my Calc exam tomorrow, but gave up. I'm shit at math, and I'm never going to pass the class anyways," Normani said with a roll of her eyes, "I don't even need Calculus to become a dancer."

Camila smiled softly in amusement, lifting an eyebrow before shaking her head, "I can help you study. I'm pretty good at math," Camila offered.

Normani looked over at Camila, a small grin taking over her features, "Yeah?! If you can help me pass this exam, I'll be your best friend!"

"I already have a best friend, three of them in fact," Camila joked, "But don't worry, I'm sure we can come up with something for you to do to pay me back," Camila shrugged, and she held her hand out, "Let me see your book."

Normani wasted no time in handing Camila her Calculus textbook. Camila looked through the first few pages silently before she nodded her head once, "Yeah, I can help with this. You got a notebook and a pen?"

Once Camila had ahold of Normani's notebook and pen, she went over the Chapter that Normani needed to understand for her upcoming test. Camila's explanations of the problems were very detailed, and Normani found herself understanding the equations better when Camila was explaining it than when her actually Calculus teacher was.

By the time the final bell rang, Normani was able to successfully solve the equations presented to her with little trouble, and it made her feel a little bit better about the text the next day.

As their fellow peers began to pile out of the school behind them, Camila and Normani quickly packed Normani's books away to prepare to go their separate ways. Rising to her feet, Camila met Normani's eyes as she stood as well, "I think you're ready for that test tomorrow."

"I wouldn't have been if it weren't for you," Normani smiled softly as she pulled her bag over her shoulder, "Thank you."

"Don't mention it," Camila shrugged before her face turned rather serious, "Seriously don't. I have a reputation to uphold. If people were to hear that I was giving out free math lessons, I'll never hear the end of it."
