Friendship

You were staring at the mirror infront of you. Cheeks as red as tomatoes and all flustered. What the hell happend just now? Did he try to flirt with me? You shook your head to clear your mind. No, no. He was probably just kidding we have been friends since High-school anyway there is nothing more than friendship... After calming down and analysing your conversation you came to the conclusion that Kaoru was just in a good mood and tried to tease you.
Before you went back to your two friends you actually used the toilet, cause you'll never know when you'll have the chance to use it again.
„Y/nnnnnn !!!! Food is ready! Get your ass over here." Kojiro called while sitting down at the table with Cherry himself. Both of them looked up when they heard your footsteps approaching the table. „Smells kind of good and doesn't look like poison. What is this Kojiro?" you asked the man who smiled brightly at you. „Doesn't look like ... POISON? Excuse me? How bout being a bit more grateful for a free meal a chef cooked?" he exclaimed while dramatically throwing up his hands.
Kaoru joined in on your teasing „It didn't look like poison the last time either y/n. Don't judge a book by its cover." Both of you had to laugh at the green haired man who tried to explain that his Pasta isn't poisonous. Kaoru stole a glance at your happy impression. Your smile always managed to lighten up his mood so that he actually enjoyed your presence.
After that the three of you ate the food served and it really did taste good. You didn't expect anything else from the cook, he owns his own restaurant after all. „Mhmmm that was tasty, I think you could serve that more often." you said while putting down the glass of wine.
„Truth be told I have been thinking about adding it to the card. Something new always grabs the attention of my regular customers." Kojiro said, still deep in thoughts.
„Alright lets change the subject to the real deal." Kaoru said while taking a sip of wine. „What do you think of the new guy who won against Shadow?" Your expression changed to a curious one. „Ahh what was he called again? Snow? Some of my customers talked about him today. He has to be really good to win against Shadow."
„Yes you really missed something yesterday. That kid taped his feet to the skateboard and still managed to skate like a pro. Funny thing is that he's still a beginner, he doesn't know shit about skateboarding.", Joe informed you.
„What do you mean? How could a beginner possibly skate like a professional and in addition to that win a beef on his first day at „S"?" you asked, curiosity getting the better of you. Naw I should have gone to „S" yesterday... seems like things are getting interesting again.
„What that gorilla means is, that Snow is a natural talent. My guess is that he has been snowboarding for some time. The way he moved and glued his feet to the board show some experience." the pink haired told you.
While leaning over to you and taking your hand Kojiro said: „You should come to „S" with us again y/n. Everyone is missing the third person of the golden trio, The Queen."
You blushed, still not being used to his flirty side after all of this years. Cherry noticed and slapped Joes hand with his fan glaring at the man.
„What he meant to say is that your fans are annoying and always screaming questions at us because of your absence.If you don't have a ride I could pick you up." he offered.
„Yes that would be good. By motorcycle still isn't working and I didn't have the time to go to the mechanic yet."
„Then its set. The golden trio will come back!" the green haired exclaimed. „Stop acting like i was lost for years!" you shouted at him, getting a little annoyed. „The last time I came with you guys was not even two weeks ago you idiot."
But it felt like an eternity. Wait what? Kaoru thought not believing what the voice in his head just said.
You looked at the clock. It was already 10:20 pm. „Naw shit. I'll have to leave you guys now. I still have to prepare the stickers Reki wanted for his board." you said while finishing your drink and getting up afterwards.
„Hahaha sucks to be you. But get home save my sweet y/n." Kojiro said, handing over your coat. „How will you get home anyway?"
„Good question. Maybe I'll take the bus or just walk." you shrugged. Kojiro looked at his male friend with a mischievous smile on his face. Kaoru looked back no idea what his friend was up to.
„Kaoru. Maybe you could act like a gentleman and give y/n a ride home today as well? I still have to clean the kitchen." he suggested.
„I,.. hmm... I still have to..." Cherry stammered, not knowing what to say. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable but would love to enjoy your company a bit longer. „You don't have to. I understand that you still have your own plans." you replayed. It felt like your heart just took a hit. Maybe he doesn't want to spend time with me or maybe he has to meet someone else or maybe —- your thoughts were cut off by Kaoru standing up and taking his keys. He noticed the hurt look when he didn't answer properly „I don't mind driving you home at all."
Blushing you nodded and walked towards the exit. „See you soon Kojiro!" You waved at the bigger guy.
Outside you followed Kaoru to his bike eyeing his figure from behind. „There should be enough space for both of us, after all there were enough times in which we already tested that." He had a smirk on his face remembering the old times. You watched the light of the lanterns falling on his pale face showing his dreamy gaze towards the sky. You walked towards him putting a hand on his left shoulder „The good old days huh?" Looking into the night sky as well. He chuckled. „What's so funny ~Cherry~ ?"
He almost chocked hearing you call him by his skater name. „Its Kaoru! Don't call me by that name outside of „S" !" he said sitting onto his bike waiting for you to do the same. „I know I know. Its just funny to see your face.". You put your leg over the seat, sitting down right behind him. When he started to drive you didnt mind grasping the side of the seat but after some tome he began to speed up.
„You should hold on to me or else you'll fall from the bike and I believe that neither you or I want that to happen." Kaoru said with concern is his voice. When you didn't react immediately you felt his right hand grabbing your arm and putting around his waist. To secure yourself your left arm did the same so that you were now leaning forward and grasping his body. When you tried to look over his shoulder he felt your breath on his neck sending shivers down his spine. He was happy about the fact that you couldnt see his face or else this would have been very awkward for both of you. Unaware of your closeness you watched the lights of the houses near the street change with every second. „This will never not be beautiful." you whispered. The pink haired man almost didn't here you but his eyes still twitched to his left seeing you smiling like a child. „It really is beautiful. Everytime." he said looking back at the road.
