Time passed by quickly for Hwanwoong, his days filled with just eating, taking his medicines, and sleeping, and before he knew it, it has already been five days since he had first woken up and his parents were coming to visit. They had been out of the country on a business trip during the accident and was only able to come home today. Youngjo had kept in touch with them, from when he was still in a comatose state up to now, they even video called each other, his parents wanting to see how their only child was doing.

Although Hwanwoong was still stuck on a cast, encasing his right leg and arm, he was now able to roam around the hospital grounds on a wheelchair provided that either a nurse or Youngjo would accompany them. It was on such fine day that the two young adults are found in the gardens, one basking in the sunlight, the other in lost in thought. Hwanwoong was glad of the change of scenery, it was getting suffocating in his room, with everything so white, he might think that he was in heaven.

They were in the garden for quite a while now, watching the sky get painted red and orange before settling to a clear blue, when something caught Hwanwoong's eye. In the corner of his eye, there, an assortment of little blue and violet flowers were scattered on a sea of vibrant green. Curious. Hwanwoong had never seen this type of flower before in his life.

Pulling at the end of Youngjo's sweater, he pointed towards the bed of curious flowers, asking to be pushed in its direction. Youngjo let out a soft smile upon seeing the flowers and stood from where he sat to bring Hwanwoong closer to the flowers. When they halted in front of it, Hwanwoong stretched his good arm and touched its petals, feeling its softness against his skin.

"They're pretty. What's it called?"

Youngjo let out a soft hum, appreciating the flowers but also cherishing the gentle look Hwanwoong wore, and his curious glint in his eyes when he asked the question.

"If I'm not mistaken they're forget me nots."

"Forget me nots?" Hwanwoong repeated, his head titled a little bit to the right in wonder.

"hhmm. Do you know what they mean?" at the shake of Hwanwoong's head, Youngjo continued.

"It is said that forget me nots represents true love, long lasting connections- a symbol of fidelity. Giving someone these flowers is like making a promise to never forget that person in your thoughts." just like my promise to you

Their conversation however was cut short, when they heard a shuffling of feet. They turned their head towards the noise, to see Hwanwoong's parents rushing towards them. His mother already had tears falling on her beautiful face, as she collapsed in front of Hwanwoong, gently cupping his face, in relief.

When the phone rang, bringing with it the bad news, they so wanted to buy a plane ticket back home but certain circumstances did not allow them such. And so they had to wait agonizingly, relying on Youngjo's update. The heaviness of their hearts lifted just a little bit, when they saw their baby boy awake and talking with them, but it was nothing compared to this moment.

They were finally able to hold their boy in their arms, he was safe and away from the clutches of death.
