Another month had passed and Hwanwoong had greatly improved. His physical therapies were still going on, and after Hwanwoong and Youngjo's conversation which ended on a bad note, Hwanwoong took Youngjo's advice and patiently went through his sessions. Hwanwoong learned to listen to his body whenever it couldn't handle the exercises, and both Hwanwoong and Youngjo saw how Hwanwoong had slowly healed and was able to move his muscles without much difficulty.
Today, Hwanwoong was tidying up his room, making sure nothing was left behind, putting his stuff in the bags that Youngjo had brought for him the other day. Speaking of Youngjo, the elder still wasn't here. Youngjo went back to his job three weeks ago, when his boss called him because they were working on an idol group's comeback and the company wanted everyone to attend the meetings. But despite his busy schedule, the elder still managed to find time to visit Hwanwoong during his free time.
Whenever Youngjo was gone, his mother or father would alternate to watch over him. Oftentimes, Seoho would come visit, brightening the room with his laughter and stories. And Geonhak would stay beside Seoho either on his phone or quietly listening to their conversation. Sometimes, he would join in the conversation but that mostly ends up in a bicker between the two lovebirds, leaving Hwanwoong to be the peacemaker. That was often Youngjo's role whenever the two would visit, but since Youngjo wasn't here, Hwanwoong was left to his own devices, trying his best to placate the two.
Hwanwoong let out a soft sigh as he recalled all the memories he had in this room. Even though these past months were hard, Hwanwoong was happy with the time he spent with everyone. Hwanwoong was broken out of his musings when a knock resounded throughout the room.
"You ready?" A soft voice called out, a mop of black hair peeked out of the door, a beautiful smile painted on his face.
"Yeah, just making sure I didn't leave anything behind Youngjo-hyung" Hwanwoong replied, grabbing his phone and a few of his books from the bedside table.
"Hmm, I already signed the papers before coming here, so we're free to go now if you want."
"Thank you hyung"
"Let's go?" Hwanwoong nodded, grabbing his backpack while Youngjo grabbed the heavy stuff. They bid goodbye to the kind nurses that were on duty (those who took care of Hwanwoong) as they left the hospital and proceeded to drive towards Hwanwoong's dorm; Youngjo driving.
The car ride was silent, save for the random music that was playing on the radio. But it was okay. Hwanwoong relished the silence as he watched as different sceneries passed by him. He was just glad that he was seeing something different other than the hospital's white walls and its garden.
Stuck in his daydreaming, Hwanwoong failed to notice that they had arrived at his apartment. Helping Youngjo carry the bags he had packed, the two made their way upstairs from the basement parking area. Thank god the building had elevators installed, although Hwanwoong made great progress with his physical therapy, it was still a bitch to climb the stairs for a prolonged period of time.
No sooner than later, the elevator let out a 'ding' signifying that they were on the right floor. The journey through the hallway was silent as Hwanwoong observed his environment. So far everything was the same as he remembered, although Hwanwoong was not sure if his neighbors were still the same. Hwanwoong recalled the kind old lady next door, who would always bring some cookies whenever she baked. He also remembered, the toddler who would wail out loud when the moon's shining bright in the sky or the teenager who would blast some random kpop boy-group songs and would randomly shout; fangirling.
