Chapter 5: 131045

{Chapter 5} Book 1: The next morning
翌朝

That night Aviana couldn't sleep. Emma just kept staring at the girl in the bed next to hers who kept tossing and turning. This continued until midnight before Emma finally fell asleep. Aviana quietly got off her bed and walked to the Library, wanting to read a few books to help her sleep.When she got to the door, she realized that the light was on and slowly opened the door, hoping that it wasn't Isabella. Thankfully, It wasn't. It was Ray.

''Ray? What are you doing awake?'' She tiredly muttered. She was tired, yes, but her brain refused to let her sleep. She felt like she needed to be held for some reason. She sat up, facing Emma. ''Couldn't sleep. You? Shouldn't you be sleeping right now, Avi?'' Ray asked quietly. Aviana offered a tired smile. ''Guess I should be, but I can't sleep either.'' She mumbled back. Even if she often didn't sleep at night, She knew this wasn't like most times. Those times she couldn't sleep was because she was up all night either drawing her family and/or creating ribbons and necklaces for the kids who were being... sent off the next day. This time, she wanted to sleep, she really did. Her mind was exhausted after seeing Conny and everything, but it won't let her sleep. She fears that it may become a normal thing to happen.

Ray looked up from the book he was reading and smiled softly before Patting the space next to him, urging the shorter girl to sit next to him, which she did. He then pulled her into a comforting hug, playing with her Blue locks. Aviana stiffened for a second, having not expected such a warm hug all of a sudden, but quickly melted into the hug, hugging the Raven haired boy back. ''Can you hum that song you used to hum when we were younger?'' Aviana whispered softly. Smiling, Ray nodded. Aviana then Laid her head on Ray's shoulder. Ray went back to reading, but hummed at the same time.

Aviana hummed quietly with him until she fell asleep. Ray noticed how Aviana's breath evened out. he looked down to the Blue haired girl and smiled, seeing her sleeping. He gently moved Aviana to be leaning on his chest, her back towards him. He wrapped his arms around Aviana as he continued to read. ''I'll make sure of it. I'll protect you, Aviana.'' He continued to hum after kissing her head.

Aviana was in a dark room, looking around calling out two specific names. ''Conny? Aaliya?'' She knew deep inside that she wouldn't find them, but she had to try. ''Ali? Conny? Where are you?''She had two things in her hands. Little bunny and the ribbon she had given Aaliya years ago. Suddenly, she saw a light. She looked towards it and saw a... table? She couldn't exactly see what was on the table. Even though her hands were shaking and her knees were feeling as if they would give out any second now, she walked towards the table, looking side to side almost as if she would find Conny or Aaliya.

When she was close enough to see what was on the table, she fell to her knees. It was the dead corpses of both of the people she was looking for. She felt as if she was shaking side to side.''Wake up, Aviana'' She heard a voice say. It took her a while to recognize the voice because it was muffled, but once she did, she turned around yelling the persons name. ''Ray!''

Instead of seeing Ray, However, she saw the same creature that she had saw with her friends with it's mouth open, it's slimy tongue approaching the two corpses behind her.

Aviana's Eyes abruptly opened as she raised a hand saying ''Leave them alone.''

She then felt a hand on her head, calmly playing with her hair. ''It was just a nightmare, Aviana. Don't be scared.'' She heard Ray's voice say. She turned around to face him and hid her face in his chest. It was 4:05 AM. ''Go back to sleep, Aviana. I'll wake you up if you seem to be having another nightmare.'' Aviana nodded, falling back asleep in Ray's arms.

Ray sadly smiled at the girl in his arms before he closed the book he was reading, closing his eyes but not sleeping. He did eventually fall back asleep, however. Though it was at 5 AM.

In the Dining hall when Gilda got there, she realized that neither Ray or Aviana were there. She pointed it out to Emma, who got worried and immediately ran back into their room, only to see no Aviana. She groaned in worry and began running all over the place before finally getting to the library. Chris, Yvette, Dominic and Gilda behind her.

Emma threw the door open and began searching around before she got to the back of the Library. There, She saw Ray asleep with his back to the book shelf with Aviana held against his chest, both of them sleeping. ''Are they he-'' Yvette was about to say, but stayed quiet after looking at the sight in front of her. Emma and Gilda smiled at the sight where as Chris, Dominic and Yvette looked at each other and nodded. 'We must protect'.

Emma sighed before walking up to the two and shook Ray awake. She then told him ''You can wake Aviana up'' Which he did. 

Almost immediately after Aviana stood up, Yvette was clinging onto her leg. Aviana smiled softly and picked the girl up, putting her on her shoulders. ''To the Dining hall we go!'' She called out, rushing out the room, The others walking behind her.

Emma and Aviana helped each other put the plates on the table as The kids and Gilda went else where. Ray went to help in the kitchen. The two heard Mark ask ''And this goes there?'' They both smiled slightly before freezing. The voice that followed... Was their Mom's.

Emma turned around whilst Aviana stayed frozen in place, Both of their eyes widened in fear and they both started shaking. ''Yes, that's right. Can you finish setting the table, Mark?'' Is what Isabella replied with. She was smiling, not showing what she had done the night before on her face.

''Sure thing, Mom!'' Mark exclaimed, jumping up. Aviana's breathing became slightly erratic as she listened to the conversation.

Hearing footsteps coming closer to them, the two looked towards the door, still horrified, and saw Norman holding the hands of two younger kids, smiling.

''Hi Aviana, Hi Emma, Good morning.'' He said, releasing the hand of one of the kids and waving before sending the two of them off to help with setting the silverware out. The two girls just continued to stare at him with the same expressions on their faces. Norman walked up to them and said ''Come on, Smile.'' The two girls tried, but it was hard.
