The final task would be set to be taking place on May 31st, one month before the end of the school year. Draco had been avoiding Maggie since the day of the Quidditch World Cup match. She noticed that he was looking worse as the days passed. His eyes looked wider and baggy, his skin was paler than usual and when she attempted to talk to him, he would completely ignore her and walk away.

"Draco, why are you avoiding me?" she had asked him one day but he looked at her and for a second, he seemed to want to talk to her. But instead, he glared at the person behind Maggie for only a moment before walking away again. Maggie turned around, only to find a group of slytherin girls, Pansy Parkinson being one of them, looking back at her.

"Something's happening with Draco." she said to Hermione and Ginny as they sat together in the Gryffindor common room.

"Yea, he's been acting strange lately." said Hermione. "Ever since we went on our trip to Hogsmeade."

"I've noticed he and Pansy have been getting along quite well, though." said Ginny, looking down.

"What do you mean?" Maggie said.

"I've just seen them hanging out more I guess. They've been spending a lot of time in potions talking to Snape."

"Really? I hadn't noticed." said Hermione.

"I bet it's nothing." Ginny says, noticing the sad expression on Maggie. "Honestly, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about."

"We should go to bed, Maggie, you have a long day tomorrow. It's the final task." said Hermione as she laid down on her bed.

The next day, Maggie and Harry, along with the other champions, stood just outside of a tall hedge. Surrounding it was a large stadium similar to the one used to sit the audience in the first task.

"Good luck!" said Hermione as she took a seat on the first row along with Ginny and Ron.

Maggie looked around at the students as they took their seats, looking to find Draco among them. And surely enough, he was there, sitting along the edge of the stands with Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy.

"Welcome to the third and final task of the Quadwizard Tournament." said Ludo Bagman. "Tonight, our four contestants will compete against each other for the Quadwizard Cup, which is hidden somewhere inside of this maze."

"Contestants, listen closely." said Professor Mcgonnegall as Bagman continued speaking. "There are dangerous obstacles throughout the maze. If you ever feel the need to withdraw from the quest, don't hesitate to send red sparks into the air." she said, and they nodded. "Oh," she added. "I shouldn't forget to warn you that the walls like to change." At that moment, they heard a loud rumble from within the maze.

"...the contestants will enter the maze in 3- 2- 1- go!" he yelled and they all ran inside.

The four contestants looked at each other for a short moment then proceeded to go their separate ways.

Maggie ran for what seemed like hours. What were these 'obstacles' Mcgonnegall had warned them about? And when would they appear? She continued to run for a while until she heard a loud scream just ahead of her. She ran towards the noise and standing there was Viktor Krum with Cedric Diggory on the floor right in front of him.

"Crucio!" he yelled and she watched as Cedric began to scream in pain once more.

"Viktor! Stop!" she yelled but it was no use. She saw his eyes seemed to be filled with a gray cloud washing over them. She held out her hand with a red spark hovering just outside of her palm.

But just as she threw it at him, she heard someone yell, "Expelliarmus!"

It was Harry.

"Are you okay?" he asked Cedric, who was still laying on the ground, his chest bouncing up and down rapidly as he gasped for air.
