Neither of them knew how much time had passed since then. To Henry it didn't feel like too long, but for Ellie it felt like hours. Her teeth chattered in the cold, genuinely shocked by the fact that she hadn't gotten frostbite yet.

"Y-you sure this is where he's gonna pick us up?" She asked, holding her arms tightly in order to retain body heat. Henry simply nodded as he leaned against an abandoned shack's wall, crossing his arms patiently. Before Ellie could respond, the two felt a small, but growing gust of wind. Not just the wind that had been blowing already, but from a new direction. A distance away from the two, a government helicopter was landing. Henry slyly grinned towards Ellie as she sighed in relief.

"Oh, there he is.. I assume you've done some work with him in the past?"

Henry simply nodded.

"If you trust him, then so do I."

The helicopter didn't take long to land, and shortly after, a white hound stuck his head out from the aircraft's doors. His ears drooped over his stand-out red headphones, which contrasted with his green pilot's uniform. The hound smiled at the two brightly, before speaking.

"Hey, Henry, Henry's friend! Come on in!"

The fox and hedgehog quickly made their way inside the helicopter, with Charles shutting the door behind them.

"Henry! Nice to see you again," The hound began, as he turned to look at the red haired fox with the same bright smile, "Who's your friend?"

"I'm Ellie."

"I'm Charles, nice to meet you. Any friend of Henry's is a friend of mine..." Charles grinned brightly, before sighing a bit, "So uh... While I was able to swing by and pick you guys up... uh.. you remember the captain, right, Henry?"

Henry nodded, as Ellie simply listened. She had a feeling she'd find out who this 'captain' was eventually.

"Well, he had to sanction this pick-up.. in return, we're gonna need your help again. With the Toppat's... again. I hope that's alright."

"Well.. it is the least we could do," she turned to Henry as she scratched the back of her head lightly, "he is helping us out, after all."

Charles smiled brightly, as his tail wagged from side to side, "Awesome! I'll explain everything once we're in the air."
With that said, the hound quickly ran back to the pilots seat, preparing the helicopter for take-off. Ellie and Henry got themselves seated, as Ellie looked around kind of nervously. Up until now, she had never been too high up in the air. However, she knew she had to ignore the fear that might come to her.

Once they were in the air, the hound revealed just exactly what the general needed them to do.
"Alright, so what's left of the Toppat Clan has set up-uh... some sort of secret base out in the jungle.
Seems like they're planning on launching some kind of space station into orbit. They'll be sitting pretty if they pull this off, so we gotta make sure they don't do that."
Henry nodded silently, as he listened to what the pilot had to say. Charles continued,
"...Talked to the general and he said that he's pulling out all our main forces. He said that Henry and I made a good team last time, so he trusts that we can pull this off."
After listening to the hound's speech, the fox joined in with some of her own words, as she bore a determined and toothy grin. "Henry and I make a pretty good team too! Don't count me out!" The hound was more than happy to hear this, as he smiled and chimed back in, "Then we're gonna make a great squad! With the three of us, we'll have no problems... completing the mission."

"Why did you say it like that-" the red haired fox replied... only to be given a simple shrug from Henry as a response.. yep. This was going to be quite an interesting day.
