Nash's POV:
I stared into the room where Emma was and I breathed into the glass pane. I finally opened the door and walked over to Emma. She was still sleeping and her hair slightly covered her face. I smile at her and remove it from her face and lean down to kiss her forehead. I lean back and her green eyes are staring back into mine. "Hey Grier." She says."Oh my God Emma you scared me!" I pull her into a hug and sit down in the chair by the bed. "Feeling okay?" I ask her.
She shake her head yes. "Yeah I'm doing great. Just can't wait to leave." She shudders and grabs her shoulders.
I laugh at her. "Are you cold?" I ask while raising my eyebrows.
Her eyebrows crinkled into her forehead and shook her head no. "I just can't stand hospitals." She shudders again.
I shape my mouth into an 'O'. I turn my head to the t.v. and I almost had a spasm. "Dude turn it up!" I reach for the remote and turn it up. Emma looked at me weirdly. "What?" I ask her. "It's Cam's interview." She giggles and shakes her head at me.
I roll my eyes and turn my eyes back to the out of date T.V. I stare at it like a little kid as the interviewer ask Cam questions. "So Cameron, what can we expect from your movie, Expelled?" Cam smiled and replied simply "A misunderstood prankster and an ass hole of a principle."
I started laughing uncontrollably, and Emma joined. I could see the interviewer trying not laugh. "Well.. I guess you can say its pretty good."
He smiles at her and says, "I guess. Just depends what you call good."
I turn my head towards the door as a middle aged woman walks through the door and clears her throat loudly. "Sir, would you please turn the t.v. off? She glared at me as I slowly reached for the remote. "Thank you." She grabbed her clip board and flipped some pages. "Emma Ryan, right?" She says flatly.
"That's me." Emma chirped. "Can I go home now?" The nurse looked over the clipboard at her, then back to the clipboard. "According to here, you can leave as soon as the doctor gives you the green light." She clicks her pen and turns towards the door.
As soon as the door had shut, I finally let out a breath of air. "I felt like she could read my soul." Emma rolled her eyes. "What about me? I felt she read it and instantly disapproved." She laughs but quickly becomes silent as middle aged man walks in. "Hello Miss Ryan. I'm Dr. Martin." He leans out a hand and smiles at her.
She shakes her hand and smiles back. "Hello, so am I all good? Am I able to to go home?" She twiddles her thumbs waiting for Dr. Martin to finish writing something on his clipboard. After a few hhmms, and mhmms he looked up and smiled at both of us. "Everything's fine. You're cleared to go, just make sure to come back in about 2 weeks for your 1 month check up. You need to see how your baby is doing, but from what I can tell, she or he should be healthy."
Emma politely smiles back at him. "Thank you that's good to here. Do I need to check out at the front desk?"
He replies by shaking his head no. "You brother Jackson has already done that. You can leave right now."
Emma's eyes brightened and she eagerly climbed our of the hospital bed.I wrap my arms around her waist as we walk out. "Thank you, Sir. I'll see at my appointment." She says as we're walking through the door.
When we are in the parking lot, I hear her sigh. "Finally! I feel like have just escaped prison!" She spins around but stumbles after a spin. "Careful. Don't want to faint again." I say as I catch her.
"Yeah we don't want that." She clubs out of my grasp and walks to me car. "Dude, I'm hungry. Thinking what I'm thinking?" She smirks at me.
I begin to spread a big smile ony face as we both say it at the same time. "Taco Bell."
