Take note you are currently 14, you're reflecting on what's brought you to this point.)

The first thing you remember is gas. Cold, thick gas filling your lungs and throat, your nostrils growing sore and your eyes blinking rapidly. You were choking on it, and it smelled oh so terrible. You were about four... You were "born" at that age range at least. Everything was so cold, but the gas started to ease on your body, as though it became thinner.
Later on you came to learn that gas was what kept the human race alive, it was called oxygen, or more commonly air. You had panicked, having come into the world so strangely; your body wasn't used to it. Now you quite literally couldn't live without it. How strange that was, spiting something inanimate one second and pleading for it to stay the next.
The next thing you remember was a strange tingle in your ears. That, you guess, was what they called sound. You learned that over time as well. The sound was your "parents" screaming bloody murder, because some abomination of an infant just formed from spilled muck and human remains, because some idiot got pissed off and decided to throw punches; this resulted in everything getting knocked over, in the wrong place at the wrong time.
You could hear someone yelling about something called a quirk. You were fuzzy at the time, but you could barely make out words, and even more barely knowing what they meant. Someone's quirk had caused your birth on accident, because they had panicked. The person, now very dead, had a chemical based quirk that reactivated deactivated cells, and combined them to both make something new, and something stable. Loss of a nice quirk in your opinion, but, it did make you so that was a big deal breaker for most people.
You remember being picked up slowly, gloved hands under your soft squishy arms. You blinked at the person. You could see much better now, any alien slimes out of your new eyes. They were a plump woman, paled cheeks and almost white lips. There was a bruise on her snowy cheeks, and at the time you didn't know why. Her eyes were an amber brown, and you couldn't look away. They were so pretty... You reached your hands out, making grabby fingers at her eyes. Your fingers were so pudgy, it was strange compared to how slim they were now.
She had hesitated, as if scared of you, before pulling you closer. She closed her eyes and your squishy hands made a "plap" sound when they made contact with her eyelids. You whined, seeing as the beautiful spheres had vanished. Had they left? Had they vanished forever? Hearing your whine she opened her eyes again, carefully taking your hands off before doing so. You were happy again. the pretty eyes were back!
sadly, though, the happy was cut short. You felt larger hands grab your ribs from behind, and you were forced out of the soft ladies arms. You whined again, but this time the holder paid no heed. You smacked whoever it was, wanting to go back to the soft lady, but your flimsy hands were of little use to you against this foreign entity.
Your whines grew heavier until tears prickled at your eyes, and you began to cry. You didn't know how to tell this person you didn't want to be held by them. All yo could do was cry and smack their arms rapidly out of anger.
Getting annoyed, this person gave you your second ever dose of pain. A firm smack to the back of your head made you choke on more tears, but you held your hands close to your chest, not wanting another ache in your skull. After a long period of walking through corridors and large rooms, your cries were reduced to tired hiccups. All the tears made your eyes burn, and your throat throb.
Curling up as best you could, you rubbed your eyes, falling asleep painfully slow...
***
You woke up in a barely lit room.
You were warmer now. You were in the corner, on a thin mattress with a bundle of random old blankets over you. You had those soft things the big people had on you, one covering your upper half and one covering your lower. Clothes, as you'd later learn.
You stood up and wobbled around. It was pretty empty... You had a corner with toiletries to do your business, a shabby light bulb on the ceiling, a couple machines making beeping noises, and of course your bed. That was it.
That was all you were getting for a very long time...
