Clay POV.

I feel kind of invincible... I mean, we jumped off a roof about 25 feet into a pool.. George even got shot. I wish I had instead of him.

God, how had I been so stupid, letting him get hurt? I sigh quietly, so he doesn't notice my mood change.

"Clay.. are you okay?" He asks cautiously, as if he doesn't quite know what to do in this situation. I sigh again, more audible this time.

"Yeah, I'm sorry love. I'm just mad you got hurt." I sniff.

"No, no no I'm fine. I'm completely okay." He says quickly. "Please, trust me."

"Okay.." I say again. His grasp on my waist is tighter, and his hand runs through my curly blonde hair. I mumble out nothing under my breath, covering up a slight moan as his fingernails leave light scratches across my scalp in a pleasurable way.

I watch the house carefully, my arms still tight around George's small body. Suddenly, the front door burst open and the police lady and another officer come out with the man handcuffed. I feel George shake a little, and I kiss his hair reassuringly. He leans further into me.

"It'll all be okay, now. He's gone." I smile shyly. "Wanna go home now?"

"Definitely." He smiles, looking up at me. His striking brown eyes meet my green ones, and we stay like that for a few moments. He breaks his eyes away from mine, and I smile to myself seeing his excitement as he runs towards the house like a little kid.

But he gets to the door and stops. So suddenly, I crash into him, almost knocking him over.

"What?" I say, but then peer over his head to see what he's looking at.

"Clay.. oh.. I'm so sorry." He says, tearing his eyes away from the body on the floor.

Patches.

"Patches...." I whisper, my breath torn from me violently. "No.." I feel hot tears sting my eyes.

George turns immediately and hugs me, his arms around my neck. I know he's sad that she's lying in a pool of blood, but it's nothing compared to what I'm feeling right now.

"Baby, I'm so sorry. She didn't deserve that." Tears roll down my cheeks, and I don't have the energy to wipe them. I can feel George's tears start to drip down as well.

"I know." I choke out. I take a cautious step forward, towards her crumpled body. I see a small hole in it, and I start sobbing as I fall to my knees, ignoring the shooting pain. I didn't care that anyone was watching. Patches did not deserved this.

I feel George's hand on my back, rubbing it comfortably. I lean into it slightly, reaching out and very gently stroking her beautiful multicolored fur coat. I hear him drop down behind me, and his arms are around my shoulders.

"It's.." I attempt to speak, but my shallow breathing stops me.

"W-we need to bury h-her." I whimper, pulling my hand away from her bloody body. I feel George nod besides me.

"Of course, love. Of course." He says, and he sounds like he's tearing up as well.

Suddenly I hear running behind us.

"George! Clay! Are you guys okay?" I hear Katie ask, her voice panicked. She's breathing hard. Then she sees Patches.

"Oh my god. Clay, I'm so sorry!" She starts crying, and George jumps up to hug her too. Suddenly, I hear Nick's voice. Then Karl's.

"Patches?" I hear Karl whisper. Nick sighs sadly.

"We're okay.." George informs them. For the most part.

"Clay.." I hear Nick say. "Come on guys." He ushers Katie and Karl into the house. I wonder what they're up to, but I stay with Clay. I wouldn't dream of leaving his side, even for a second after what he's been through.

"Come on, love. We have to go.." I whisper. I wish I could take away his pain. He sighs, letting one final tear drip down his face before he stands up. I throw my arms around his chest, and his hands move to wrap around my back.

He quietly cries into my shoulder, and I can do nothing except be there for him.

"I love you." I whisper. I feel him nod slightly, before whispering "I love you too. Thank you." He sniffs, and I reach up to wipe his tears off his face softly.

We continue into the house, to find it completely wrecked. Nothing of importance was ruined completely, just some picture frames broken. There was a lot of glass everywhere, but we were wearing shoes so we were all fine. Katie's eyes were still red rimmed, but her tears were dried up. Clay hugged her tightly, and I felt my heart flutter. I watch her, after a second, hug him back. I swear it melts my heart.

"I'm going to be right back, kay?" I say to the group. Karl, Katie, and Nick nod but Clay gives me a questioning look.

"Where are you going?" Clay asks, kinda skeptical.

"Just... nowhere important. See you later! Love you!" I call over my shoulder as I hurriedly walk away. I hear Clay say "love you." behind me as I continue to walk away. I decide to walk where I'm going, for I want to get some fresh air from what just happened. I quickly check the time on my phone. 11:34 it read. I sigh. Midnight trip to the bakery, I guess. It wasn't really a cold night, the temps tire just cool enough to need a hoodie. I'm still wearing Clays, so I'm fine.

It only gets chillier as I continue walking, and I pull my hoodie around me tighter. I check my phone percentage, and I figure out it's almost dead. Frustrated, I shove it back in my pocket with a heavy sigh. The way this night was going.

About fifteen minutes later, I arrive into town. They live kinda far out, so it takes a bit to walk. But it was worth it.

I hear footsteps behind me, startling me. Fearfully, I whip out my cell phone, click on the flashlight, and shine it behind me. I see a woman, a little taller than me walking behind me. She smiles softly, but there's something unsettling about the entire thing.

"Hello?" I say into the darkness. Her smile gets wider, and I realize what's happening. A man appears behind me, grabbing my wrist and jerking it behind me back painfully. I wince, dropping my phone.

"Ouch.. who the hell are you?" I yell as tears threaten to sting my eyes. I blink them back, but his grip on my arm just gets harder.

"You'll know soon enough." She gives me a sickly smile, and motions for the man to follow her. Dragging me along with them.

"I'm sorry." I hear the man whisper in my ear. "I don't want to do this."

"Do what? Who are you people?" I ask again, this time tears rolling down my cheeks.

"I can't tell you yet." He mutters. He sounds bored. Like he's done this before.

Before I have time to comprehend what's happening, I'm tossed into the back of a large white van. Horror creeps it's way onto my face, because what movie has ever ended well when the victim was thrown into a van?

"Clay.." I say weakly as my face hits the floor. I hear the lock behind me.

I'm trapped. And no one knows where I am.

Fuck.
