"W-what are you saying?" The young girl asked her mother and father.
The young girl's mother's voice cracked, "We are not your real parents."
"What? You're lying!" The young girl screamed.
"Caribbean, please! Just listen to us!" Caribbean's mother sobbed, just wanting her 14 year old daughter to listen to her and her husband.
"Caribbean, listen to us! We might not be your biological parents, but we still raised you! That means you will listen to us, and you will respect us! Especially Catherine!" Caribbean's father yelled, highly annoyed with the daughter that he never wanted. He had only taken her in because of his wife, she was barren and wanted a child desperately.
"No! You listen to me! I will not sit here on my ass and let you tell me how you lied to me my entire life!" Caribbean yelled at the people that hurt her so much, running out the front door.
"Austin, do something!" Cried the wife to her husband, tears running down her face.
Austin looked to his wife, tears running down her face. Then, he looked to Caribbean as she ran. No tears. Only a look of pure anger. He knew what to do. He might feel a little guilty, but if it would make his wife happy, he would do it.
He nodded and ran outside into the rain, after the young girl he had raised. Hoping that she did not past the security gate to their large house. Austin saw Caribbean trying to climb the rusty gate, shocking him. He had always thought of Caribbean as the girly type, not the get dirty type.
Then, a thought came to him. Where were the guards? He looked around, expecting them to come out any second, and grab the young girl that was climbing the gates, almost to the other side. He ran forward to the gates, only to slip on the wet concrete. To break his fall, Austin threw his hands out. His hands hit the concrete. Austin felt something run down his hand. He looked down. Blood. But is was not his blood. He looked over to the watered-down rise bushes that were near the gates.
He gasps. He knew Caribbean was mad, no furious, but Austin didn't think that she would do something like this.
There, lying in the bushes, the bodies of the guards. Covered in long, bloody claw marks.

Caribbean couldn't believe that the people she trusted with her life had been lying to her her whole life. She couldn't handle it. She was angry. No, she was furious. So she ran. She ran outside. She ran to get away. She had to get away.
She was almost to the gate, when she heard yelling. Caribbean had completely forgotten about the guards. She panicked. She would surely get dragged back into the house, and get locked in her room as well.
Caribbean suddenly felt no hope within her. No hope to get away. No hope to get away from the people that she had to dare herself to call her parents again. She couldn't call then that. Not after this. Not ever.
Then, she felt another emotion flow through her. Not fury, definitely not just fury alone. Something else. Something, an emotion she had never felt before. She was spewing out anger, sadness, and fury. A perfect mixture for what was about to come her way.

The woman, Catherine, would not stop crying. She had left. Her precious daughter had left her. Catherine had wanted just that, but not this way. The way she would have wanted it to be was completely different. Caribbean would be graduating from highschool, going off to collage.
But instead, Caribbean had left, furious at the people that had lied to her her whole entire life. And she was fourteen. So young. Too young to be dealing with problems like this.
Catherine had not wanted to tell her. She had wanted to keep this between her and Austin. But of course, she didn't get what she wanted. Ever since Catherine had gotten Austin to say that she could keep the baby they had found on their doorstep, his happiness had been slowly draining from him. And finally one day he had lost it, yesterday. The day before this happened. The day Austin had yelled at her. He had yelled at Catherine. He had yelled at her for calling Caribbean his daughter.
'She is not my daughter! Nor yours!' He had said, 'We will tell her! I will not have that thing call me her father!'
That day, she knew she had lost her husband.

He was shocked. Austin had seen those type of claw marks before. But he did not think the creatures that made them still lived. He thought they were all gone. Dead. Vanished. Gone. But know, he knew the truth. His Alpha had lied to him.
The creatures that had made his wife barren, were still living. On this planet. The creatures that had birthed the young girl that he had raised, were still alive. Not the parents, no. But their daughter. Their daughter, Caribbean. And she had received their powers to shift. She had received their curse. She would shift. And it would be soon.
