After getting startled by Ashton and lectured by Hunter on staying safe and all, we soon get to school and I get out of the car at the same time Richie does and he sends a glare to me

"I was going to open the door for you"

"I won't open it next time then" I say and he walks over to the boys. Sean waves at me and I wave back and walk to Dawn and Amber.

"Hey guys"

"Girl I'm jealous" Dawn says looking towards the boys group "Teach me your ways"

"There are no ways Dawn. Just start a conversation with them" I say and she turns to me pink filling her face. I turn around and notice Richie looking at he and I join the dots

"Looks like you have one already" Amber says and I smile

"No I don't" She straightens up and I wiggle my eyebrows at her "It was just a greeting"

"Oh please girl, since when do two people look at each other then blush "I say

"That right there is love babes" Amber winks at her

"It's no...

"You can't deny it if it's true "I say

"Did you all just wake up and decide to attack me today?"

"No we woke up and just chose to show you love "I say

"That's not love, that's being attacked"

"Oh come on we know you like him I mean who can resist his beautiful face and Hair. I mean look at the guy" Amber says

"Okay, this Is getting way wired for me so I'm gonna go..."

"Bye Bryce "Amber pulling on my name and I cringe at the wired feeling

"See ya"

I get my literature books and throw in my bad and head to class. Did I have to start with literature today. I wish we were rearranged again this year. I get in class and sit at my usual spot

The class soon starts and I release the breath I was holding because Ashton didn't show up. It's great since things were already weird between us due to the morning events

A few minutes into the lesson, the door opens and Ashton walks in avoiding the teacher's questions of his whereabouts and sits down a desk from me. Whispers fill the room and the girls fix themselves up making me internally roll my eyes at their actions

The teacher clears her throat and everyone's attention is diverted back to her. I take in a deep breath and try to concentrate as I feel Ashton's eyes on me. I shift uncomfortably in my chair

"For the remaining ten minutes, you may get into your groups and discuss"

I get up knowing Ashton wouldn't and sit on the desk next to his. I read through the 'Famous' play, Romeo and Juliet. Cliché, I know. I decide to speak up after a few moments of the awkward silence,

"What way do you want to present the work?" I ask and he shrugs his shoulders. Fucking uncooperative

"We still have three weeks to decide" He says

"Right"

I take down some points I think are important points and immediately the bell rings I collect my books and leave the class. My wrist Is suddenly gripped and I turn around.

"We're meeting at my place" He says and let's go of my hand as if he touched something hot and walks in the opposite direction

Okay...

I walk to my locker and find both Amber and Dawn there already waiting for me.

"Hey" I say once I put my books in my locker

"You look stressed"

"Are you good?" They both ask at the same time

"Yeah, I'm just being confused over and over"

"By what?"

"Ashton"

"Ashton?" Dawn asks shock evident in her voice and glances at Dawn

"Ashton like Ashton Lee?" Amber asks

"Yes Ashton Lee"

"What happened between you two?"

"Today morning he...

"What do you mean today morning?"

"I was at their place today...well yesterday..." Both Dawn and Amber hit me

"How dare you not tell us this earlier" Dawn starts.

"I'm telling you this now" I say and they both glare at me

"You are supposed to tell us the moment it happens not 10 years later!"

"It wasn't really important!"

"Everything is always important"

"Okay I promise to tell you everything one it happens"

"No you won't" Amber says

"Why do I even try?" Dawn asks and Amber and I laugh "Okay, Okay, enough laughs I wanna hear the tea" she turns to me "So what did Ashton to today morning?"

"So I was taking Richie's and my plate to the kitchen, and he suddenly appeared and like placed his arms on the counter with me in between and he was close...really close to my face"

I finish and they both let out squeals making me cringe and people in the hallway stop and stare at us. I raise my brow and clear my throat

"That is the cutest thing ever!" Dawn shouts

"I've changed my ship from 'Ryes' to 'Shreya'" Amber says waving her hands in the air. I roll my eyes at this and take in a deep breath

"I'm not going to be dating any of them" I say frustrated and pick up my algebra books.

"I think he likes you" Amber says and Dawn nods

"Hell no! You're just filling stuff up for yourselves"

"Look, if you don't think so, Flirt with...

"NO" I say knowing where this is going. She'll probably come up with a very bad plan to get me to interact with Ashton and that is the last thing I want to do. He can't possibly like me right? He had his perfect mewing 'friend' who's of his high beauty standards.

"B please, it would be awesome to see him lovesick" Dawn says

"And have you seen the way he looks at you? I mean the day we were at lunch together and you were eating his fries" She sighs and Dawn squeals

"If I was looked at like that I would simply DiE girl please"

"What about me. Y'all are just thinking about him what about me?"

"It will be fun. I promise"

Yeah, I highly doubt that
