"Do my drink B" Amber says excitedly and pushes her drink to me. I was acting as one of those food judges and imitating how they judge on their cooking shows. We would try food, but I wasn't in the mood for food

I pick the orange looking like drink from her and take a sip. This tastes good! They sell these here? I take another sip and touch my chin.

"This is mouthwatering. It made my taste buds awaken. Like that one ray of light at the end of the tunnel but..." I raise my hand and put on a strained face "The caramel is burnt. Who made this? This could start a pandemic" I take another sip and they both burst into laughter "And don't get me started on the sugar. This is sweet and adds flavored to the smoothie but do you wanna give me diabetes?" I go for another sip when Dawn pushes the drink away from me.

"But it's so good. Do they sell those here?" I asked Amber.

"Yeah. All their flavors are delicious well except this one. It didn't light up my taste buds"

"Lemme see that" Dawn grabs the drink and takes a sip. "Damn this is good"

"Don't finish it!" I say and she chugs everything down.

The cafeteria doors open and the guys from earlier get in 'the supposedly hot one's ' and they all walk to their table. Everyone's attention is on them and once they sit both girls turn to me.

They both sigh dreamily into the air. The gasp and turns to each other.

"Who do you have a crush on?" They ask at the same time.

"Sean"

"Mason" Dawns cheeks get a tint of pink. Cute.

"You don't crush on any of them?" Amber asks and I shake my head no.

"She doesn't find boys attractive"

"So are you...

"No... I'm straight just trying to figure life out"

She nods in understanding and her face suddenly lights up.

"There's a party on Friday wanna come? "she asks both of us

"Where? "Dawn asks. I didn't attend most parties. Well, I did sometimes but just for the food specifically the chicken. Who doesn't fucking love chicken.

"At Hayden's house"

"I thought he only invites his friends and stuff?"

"Yeah he does, but I'm his cousin" She says

"That's so cool! Do they come to your place?"

"Yeah but I lock myself in my room. I would hang out with them but all they do is play video games and athletic stuff"

"I could train you in video games" I say and she smiles.

"That would be awesome thanks B" she says and hugs me.

"Too much affection Amber"

"Sorry" she smiles shyly and pops a fruit on her mouth "You guys are cool and better than my old friends"

"How come? "Dawn asks

"They always used me to get closer to the boys and stuff. I never felt this happy"

"Well, those girls are stupid and unlucky to not have a friend like you. You're awesome and I remembered your name."

"That's a good start" Dawn chuckles" she doesn't hold on to people's names"
