We have a problem

Before i got into my car, i noticed a black car a couple feet away from me in which was a guy who looked like one of Rio's boys. Amazing.

I got my phone and dialed Gomez's number.

"We have a problem." i said. "I have a tail, i can't go back to Graceland. He's already suspicious enough."

"Give me two hours, i'll send you the address of an apartment in which you can stay." Gomez spoke on the other side of the line.

"What am i supposed to do for two hours? I need to get my things from the house." i said.

"Blake, i don't know. Go to the grocery store, get a drink somewhere. And don't worry about your things." he said with annoyance and ended the call.

I threw my phone on the passenger's seat and drove off. I got some groceries and found a small bar near the store i hadn't been to before. I ordered bourbon on the rocks and waited to get that text from Gomez.

Not long after i got my drink, a girl sat next to me.

"How're you doing?" she asked.

I didn't recognize her so i assumed she was one of Rio's people who follow me.

"Do i know you?" i asked rudely.

She slipped a note under my glass and when i opened it, it was an address.

"You don't need to. That's your new place." she said and sipped on her drink before she continued. "Go to the bathroom and check inside the tissue dispencer."

After that she got up and wished me good luck. I did exactly what she told me to after finishing my drink. Inside were the keys to the apartment that was apparently my new place.

After putting the address into the gps i drove off. It was on the other side of the city from Graceland which was a good thing. The less i see the others, the easier i can keep them out of this.

When i arrived to the address, i realised it was a huge apartment building, that looked a bit too luxurious considering the story i was trying to sell to the gang leader. I got everything from the car and started walking towards the entrance. A man opened the door for me and spoke.

"Good evening, miss Blake, let me help you with your bags." He said.

He seemed to be younger than me and i guess Gomez let him know what was going on here. I politely declined his proposition to help me and got into the elevator. I pushed the button for the 8th floor and patiently waited to get there.

When i opened the door to my new apartment, it revealed a big kitchen space on the left side of the big room and a living room space on the right. There was a not very long corridor separating the two parts of the room. I left my groceries on the kitchen counter and started walking towards what seemed to be a room. I opened the door and it revealed a spacious bedroom. I walked inside and when i opened the closet i saw all my clothes hung inside. Okay, Gomez did good. It really looks like i live here. Well, i guess i do live here now.

I got into the bathroom that was across my room and took a quick shower. It was already pretty late so even tho i was hungry, i needed sleep more than food. I put the groceries in the fridge and the cabinets and went straight to sleep.

Unfortunately just as i was starting to drift off, my phone rang. Charlie. I picked up and heard her worried voice on the other side of the phone.

"Hey, is everything okay? You weren't picking up your phone and your things are gone." she made a short pause. "Are you leaving Graceland?" she asked with sadness in her voice.

"I'm okay and don't worry, i am absolutely not leaving Graceland but for now, staying away from the house and all of you guys, means keeping my cover." i explained.

"Okay, well let me know if you need anything, okay?" she said sounding relieved.

"Thank you." i responded quietly and hung up.

After that i couldn't fall asleep. There was so much on my mind. What would he do if he found out i'm an agent and more importantly, i took his place in Graceland? Now the people who used to be his family, are my family too and i can't even tell them about this case because it might jeopardize the whole investigation. I don't know when i became this attached and emotional towards the people i work with. When i was in interpol, it was different. Of course i had a team but it was never more than work, it was never on this level of friendship. I'm so grateful for everyone at Graceland, even Mike. I hope they will understand my reasons for keeping this from them when the time comes.
