Hyunjin was a street photographer, he liked capturing the people the way they really are and not as a made up persona. With his photos he wanted to show the beauty and diversity of ordinary people. He sat down on a small wall in the middle of the city and looked through the pictures he took today. Instantly a smile formed on his lips. He noticed a tender figure sitting down next to him and peaking over his shoulder. At first he felt very uncomfortable about sudden closeness but when he turned to look at the person all of the discomfort vanished away.
Everything about the boy's visual appearance mesmerized Hyunjin. He looked almost as if he escaped from a fairytale. His blond hair, his brown eyes, his entire face, his tender body shape and especially his freckles, everything about him looked too perfect to be real. "Did you take those photos yourself?" the boy spoke up and brought Hyunjin out of his trance. "Y-yes, I'm a photographer" Hyunjin was still quite taken aback by the beauty of the boy. "They look great" the boy flashed a smile "You're really talented. Can I see more, please?" "S-sure but by any chance, would you allow me to take a few pictures of you as well?" Hyunjin managed to form a full sentence again.
A soft blush appeared on the other boy's face "You want to take pictures of me?" he shyly asked. Hyunjin was quick to nod his head "I'm sorry if I'm too straight forward but you might be the most beautiful person I've ever seen and I'd love to capture you on camera. I mean only if you're comfortable with it of course" he quickly added the last sentence to assure the other boy that he wasn't some creep. The boy bashfully looked away and fiddled with his fingers "T-thank you" he stuttered as he was flustered by the photographer's words "Uhm.. if I say yes, you wouldn't post those pictures anywhere, right?" Hyunjin chuckled "I'd love to post them on my Instagram but if you don't want me to then I won't. But you really don't have to hide your face" he took a short break before he continued "I'm Hyunjin by the way. Would you mind telling me your name?" Hyunjin leaned forward to get a better look at the boy's face since he was still looking away.
"I'm Felix" he turned his head back to Hyunjin who had a gentle smile on his lips "So what do you think? Can I take some pictures?" Felix nodded his head "Yes but you'll need to tell me what to do. I'm really not good with posing" The photographer's smile grew wider "That's absolutely no problem, Felix. I already have the perfect photo shoot in mind just tell me how much time do you have?" "I don't have any plans today so I basically have all the time it takes" Felix smiled and Hyunjim wasn't sure whether the freckled boy was real or an angel. "Wow" he whispered under his breath and quickly shook his head to get back to reality "Would you mind walking a few meters with me? There are really beautiful flowers in the park nearby, I think they'd go really well with your outfit" Felix agreed to go to the park with Hyunjin.
The two boys were taking a few pictures, Hyunjin would joke around behind the camera to capture Felix's genuine smile and it worked. He then looked at the pictures and went up to Felix to show them "You look like a real fairy" the freckled boy again blushed at the other one's comment "It's only thanks to you" he tried to compliment the other boy as well. But Hyunjin wouldn't accept the compliment "I only captured the moment you created" he smiled at the other one. Felix was blushing madly and he didn't dare to look at the taller boy. Hyunjin interpreted the other boy's behavior as discomfort so he wanted to change the topic "Do you still want to see more pictures?" Felix nodded his head as he was very interested in the other one's art. They sat down on the bench that was closest to them and Hyunjin showed Felix all the pictures he had taken that day, he also told a little story to all of them. Felix noticed himself getting more and more interested in not only the other one's stories but the boy himself as well. And so it happened that after a while he couldn't take his eyes off of Hyunjin.
The boy noticed that Felix's eyes were all over him and a gentle smile formed on his lips before he turned his head towards him. The freckled boy blushed yet again and quickly looked back at the camera. "I'm sorry if I interpret things wrong but" Hyunjin started "How about we spend the rest of the day together? I'd really love to get ro know you better" The blonde boy's gaze snapped back up to the other one's face "That.. would be great" he smiled bashfully. "How do cake and coffee sound to you? It's on me of course" Hyunjin stood up and waited for Felix's reaction. He got up as well "Sounds good" he softly giggled.
A few minutes later the two found themselves sitting in a dog café. Felix couldn't hide his excitement and for some reason a few dogs wouldn't leave his side. Hyunjin smiled at the sight of the other one giggling and patting the dogs, he couldn't hold himself back and took a quick photo of the boy. Felix didn't even notice it because he was distracted by two small fluffballs running around his feet and another bigger fluffball resting his head on his lap. "They really love you" Hyunjin chuckled and took a sip of his coffee. "I love them way more" the freckled boy showed an even cuter side of himself. After some time the dogs then left and Felix started to pout "Bye bye doggos" Hyunjin giggled "You're cute, Felix" again he managed to make the other one blush.
Time went by of the two boys enjoying their time together and getting to know each other. Both felt a certain connection that neither of them could actually explain. When the sun started to set they were on their way to Hyunjin's apartment. Felix wanted to see more of Hyunjin's photos and Hyunjin loved spending time with the freckled boy. Felix was sitting on the couch and flicked through a photo book Hyunjin gave him "How long do you photograph?" he asked when the other boy sat down next to him. "Hmm I got my first camera when I was 13 but before that I already used my dad's camera a lot. But I do street photography for about four to five years now" he explained and out of pure automatism and comfort he placed his arm behind Felix. "Do you also do normal photo shoots or just on the street?" the blonde boy leaned a little bit closer to the other one. "I do all kinds of photography but finding strangers on the street and maybe hearing something about their story is the most fun to me. I mean the fact that we're still talking might be enough proof for that" Hyunjin giggled.
Felix placed the photo book on the table in front of the couch an then looked at Hyunjin "Today was a great day. Thank you" he genuinely smiled at him. "I liked it too" Hyunjin smiled back and once again looked the other one up and down "We should do this again, sometime" Felix nodded his head "But only if it counts as a date next time" he blushed at his own confidence. Hyunjin giggled "We can make today count as a date as well if you want" he smiled at the other one. "If I say yes, will you kiss me?" the boy's face heated up even more. "Do you want me to kiss you?" Hyunjin asked and placed his hand on the other's cheek to which he replied with a shy nod. Hyunjin then leaned in and shared a gentle kiss with the freckled boy. It was almost as if time stopped as long as the kiss was lasting. But after a couple of seconds Hyunjin broke it again and smiled at the still blushing boy. "Thank you" Felix whispered and flashed a smile "But I think I should leave now" Hyunjin sighed "I knew it was too good to last forever. But we should really repeat this" Felix nodded in agreement. Hyunjin then walked the boy to the door where they bid their goodbyes.
Once Hyunjin was alone in his apartment he went back to sit on the couch, he grabbed his camera and looked at the pictures he took of Felix. "I have to look at his beauty again" he thought but when he looked at the pictures again there wasn't anyone to be seen. Neither on the ones he took in the park nor on the one he took in the café only flowers and a few dogs were on the pictures. Hyunjin quickly got up and ran down to the streets hoping he'd see Felix but no one was there. "What? Was he only in my imagination? But I saw him.. I felt him! He was here!" He looked at his camera once again but still no one was on the photos. "Where are you, Felix? And what are you?"
