Season 1 Episode 1: Friendship is magic Part 1

Shadow: There was once a stallion Prince named Shadow Harmonia Haze; he has lived even before Equestria has been around. He is the son of Harmonia the Goddess of Equestria and he has seen the world change dramatically over the years. He saw Celestia and Luna being born, he saw the many wars that have been raised in Equestria, he's partaken in some of them as well. He saw close friends disappear from his eyes, he saw them die of old age as he continued to live, all these things were hard on him, but the one that hurt the most was when Luna became, nightmare moon. She saw how her ponies feared her, how they didn't appreciate what she did for them, she didn't care about those things because she knew there was one stallion that would never leave her.... but the moment she saw her love, Shadow and her sister Celestia kissing Each other passionately she snapped and started killing anypony in her way, even wanting to kill her own sister and take her love away from her... Luna made a deal with her darker side, that deal was supposed to help Luna get back her love... but nightmare moon had other plans. Nightmare moon did not want to help Luna get her love back; she wanted to kill him so she could rule equestria and destroy everything in her way, because he was the only thing standing in her way of that goal. Eventually Celestia and Luna sent Luna/Nightmare Moon away to the moon with the Elements of Harmony. Even with all the stuff he's been through sending Luna away was the hardest. He spent 200 years in his room in the castle just staring at a wall barely eating or doing anything, it took Celestia a long time before she could get him to even leave his room and overtime, it became a regular thing. He slowly did go back to the way he was even if he missed Luna. After almost 1000 years Celestia decided to get a student, but sadly her student went mad and tried to kill her and take Shadow... but she failed and escaped through a portal to an unknown realm... While Celestia was heartbroken of this, but one day she went to an entrance exam to her Princess Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, she met a young filly named twilight sparkles who after hatching a baby dragon who she named Spike while displaying a large aptitude for magic, Celestia decided to take her in and make her, her personal student. Throughout the years twilight studied under both Celestia and Shadow, and during her time studying under them she started to get feelings for Shadow and decided to push everyone away other than him, Celestia, and spike. Even though he was always there for her and she loved that about him, one day he just disappeared and a month later this is where we pick up the story...

Narrator: Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters and their friend who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night; the friend took care of the equestia in a whole, from the living to the nonliving. Thus, the three maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The other two tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon.

[lightning crack]

Narrator: She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly, the other two harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponydom: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, they defeated the younger sister, and banished her permanently to the moon. The other two took on responsibility for both...

Narrator and Twilight Sparkle: ...sun, moon, and land...

Twilight Sparkle: (Twilight is laying down under a tree) ...and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since. Hmm... Elements of Harmony. I know I've heard of those before... but where?
