I stood at the kitchen cooking the kids favourite dinner, Ramen. I guess they got that from Naruto!
"Mommy? Why do the other kids have a daddy and we don't?" Asked Hinawari.
"Yeah? Why don't we have a dad?" Added Bolt.
The question caught me off guard.
"O-Oh! Um... As you know, Daddy was the Hokage. And there was a bad man that was about to destroy the village. They fought each other and... Died..." I started to cry at the last word. No! I shouldn't cry infront of the kids! But.... I can't help it...
"Mommy? Why are you crying?" Himawari asked.
"Oh it just... I miss Daddy, is all." I smiled at them with tears on my cheeks.
"I know what will cheer you up! Can you tell us how you fell in love with each other? You always laughs when you tell us the story!" Bolt suggested.
"Hehe okay. Go grab some cookies and I'll get a blanket. We'll sit on the couch and I'll tell the story."
