im just getting home from work when i hear my phone ring
incoming call... j🤍
"hi j" i say once i answer
"hi kenna"
"whats up"
"so you know that the fair is in town right?" he asks
"yeah" i skeptically respond
"and you know you said i could take you on a date right?" he asks
"yeah" i respond, a smile taking over my face
"so would you go on a date to the fair with me makenna?" he asks
"i would love to jaden"
"awesome, ill pick you up at 7" he responds
"perfect. bye j"
"bye kenz"
its currently 5:45 so i quickly hop in the shower. once im done in the shower i go tell bryce about the date before going back to do my hair and makeup. by the time i finish my hair and makeup, its 6:45. i quickly change and put my shoes on before heading downstairs to wait for jaden. as if its on que, i hear a knock on the door as i reach the bottom of the steps. i go and open the door to be met with a smiling jaden holding a bouquet of flowers.
"hi kenna" he smiles holding out the flowers to me "these are for you"
"hi jaden. thank you theyre beautiful"
i let him in while i put the flowers in water before heading out to his car. i put on our shared playlist while jaden drives to the fair. once we get there, we park and head to the ticket booth. i try to pay for my tickets but jaden beats me to it and refuses to let me pay him back. we ride some rides, eat some food, play some games, and take some pictures before leaving. we go back to jaden's house. he tells me to wait in the living room before running upstairs to his roomq, leaving me confused. i sit at the kitchen island, talking with his mom while she bakes cookies. all of a sudden she looks behind me and a huge smile overtakes her face. confused, i turn around and gasp.
"makenna, i really really like you. im happiest when im with you and cant stand to be away from you. can i please be your boyfriend?" jaden asks nervously, while holding a stuffed otter and some candy
i smile and run up and hug him "of course you can be my boyfriend jaden"
i feel him relax into the hug after hearing me say that. we pull apart and just smile at each other. we grab some of the cookies his mom was making and go to the couch. we watch movies and eat the cookies and candy before falling asleep in each others arms.
