pairing: Sapnap x Reader

!!female reader!!

Most people would believe Sapnap to be strong, independent, a warrior even. And he was, don't get me wrong. But in this current moment, he was anything but a warrior.

As his savior stood before him, enemies on the ground, he felt inferior, small, sitting on the forest floor.

The piercing eyes of the person above them sent shivers down his spine, and as their hand reached down to them, he could've sworn that there was a teasing glint in their eyes.

"Take my hand." The savior spoke, her black - cape??- honestly Sapnap didn't know what it was, but the billowing of it in the wind seemed to shock him away out of his stupor.

"No!" It was as if a switch had flipped in his brain, he never was one to accept help easily, especially not from people that he thought he was supposed to save. And looking at the lady in front of her, he felt oddly... weak.

It seemed like the savior noticed his position, rolling her eyes and scoffing at his stupid fragile masculinity, "Look I'm not trying to ask you to marry me, I'm trying to save your life!" And she proved right, because at that moment Sap could hear the thundering of horse's hooves as people he once called friends hunted him down.

Huffing, Sapnap decided that just this once, he would allow someone to help him, no big deal right? So he took her hand, and allowed her to help pull him up.

The moment he was stable on his two feet, his savior took off, dragging him along as she sprinted through the woods, graceful like a wolf, leaping and weaving between trees, roots, and more.

Sapnap doesn't know how long she had him running, but by the end he could hardly breathe, his savior though, she didn't seem to be breaking a sweat. It angered him, he was so used to being the one to show off, to be better than others.

Now here she comes, showing off, being better than him, stronger, faster, smarter.

And he liked it.

It was the split second that she looked back, her eyes shining with playfulness, that Sap decided, maybe he should let this savior help him more.
