Ivy Blore was always a little strange, even before she turned into a vampire. At school no one really bothered her. An outcast would be the correct term. She just got straight A's, never got in trouble, and was always polite and nice to everyone. Ivy was innocent, and the world just had to change that because the world is cruel.
"I hate school!" I yelled in my head. "I don't really know what to do anymore, life is just plain, boring, and so UGH." I spoke to myself. Yeah I talk to myself I'm weird, trust me I know. "I need to find something new, something that will get me pumped, anything as long as its new." I spoke again to myself.
As I was pacing in my room, I got an idea. "Boom I got an idea!" I squealed and ran to my desk that was in my room. I grabbed my purple flower, notebook and a pen. I wrote in big letters at the top " Ideas To Get Me Pumped!". I listed things I would like to try that I have never done before.
1. Go on a hike
2. Get a camera
3. Kiss a boy
4. Sneak out of school
5. Buy red lipstick
6. Ride a motorcycle
7. Talk to a boy
8. Make a friend
9. Fall in love
10. Find my mom :/Those were what I wrote down. Just then my nanny called down.
"Ivy dear, time to eat dinner." She yelled so I could hear her. Mrs. Lauren is my nanny, honestly she's my only friend.
"Ok be right there!" I said back.
My father is never around much. He hired Lauren to help take care of me. I'll sometimes hear him come home at night. Usually he's crying I can figure out why, after moms disappearance.
Life was good when I was a kid, my mom and dad were always happy. They loved me so much. Everything changed when I turned seven. One night my mom was putting me to bed, she cradled me in her arms whispering sweet words in my ear "I love you Ivy, never forget that. You are one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. Please don't be mad, I promise to come back. I love you.", she was gone the next morning. I didn't understand what she was talking about, I was just seven so it makes sense. I know she's still out there and I'm determined to find out eventually. After I wiped away a few stray tears, I ran/skipped down the stairs.
"Ms. Lauren did you make my favorite, or is my nose lying?" I asked Lauren
"Yup, honey. Chicken Parmesan! It's a good thing it's my favorite too!" Lauren said with a smile. We literally have it two times a week. I know it's a problem.
I grabbed two plates and filled two glasses with some milk. After I set the milk filled glasses on the table I handed the plates to Lauren to fill up with the yummy chicken. I then placed each heavenly looking plate down on the table. Lauren then handed me a fork, knife, and napkin. We quickly dug in.
I moaned "Lauren this tastes like heaven, I mean I've never been there nor have I ever toke a chunk out of heaven and put it in my mouth, but I assume it's what it would taste like." I said to her as I place a piece of saucy chicken in my mouth.
"I agree with you!" She chuckled.
Ms. Lauren was hired by my father a year after my mom vanished to take care of me. She's basically my best friend, even though she's an old lady. Lauren had short blond curly hair, big brown eyes, with quite a few wrinkles but she makes them look adorable plus she makes a mean chicken Parmesan (she just turned 70).
"So Ivy how was your day dear." Lauren asked me
"Fine, fine I've been working on a bucket list for this summer." I said to Lauren with a smile.
"That's very nice sweetie." She said to me.
We then made some more small talk while finishing our meals. Afterwards I washed the dishes and she dried them. I then went upstairs to get ready for bed.
While I was in my room I decided to take a shower. Grabbing my underwear, night gown, and towel I slipped into the bathroom. Turning on the shower I got an odd feeling someone was watching me. I turned and looked out the window. Nothing. "I must be going crazy." I then made a weird face in the mirror and finished with the shower. As I climbed into my bed I got that odd feeling I felt in the shower. Looking towards the window I saw nothing, but just to be sure I shut the blinds. Turning off the light as I headed to my bed. I jumped in and plugged my phone to the charger. As soon as my he'd hit the pillow I let out a sigh of content. I love my bed what can I say. If I could marry it I would!
