Levy's POV

I wake up early in the morning to birds chirping outside the small attic window, a noise that I enjoy dearly. My bedroom is located at the very top of the pack house, pretty much the attic, because they say that if I'm all the way up here people won't have to see me in all, what they say, my ugliness. Which to that they are wrong. They see me every time I'm cooking a meal or doing my chores.

Today though I get a break. One day every year I get a day to myself. No chores, no beatings, and no insults from any of the pack members. My birthday. The alpha of the Striped fighters (the pack name, lame I know) said that in exchange for one day of freedom every year I have to do other tasks every day.
At least the alpha isn't as cold hearted as his son. His son, Kaleb, beats me relentlessly pretty much every day. Kaleb never gives me a break from the taunting and the horrid name calling.

I get up off the floor where my makeshift bed is. I wouldn't even call it a bed. It's just a paper thin sheet and a pillow that is as hard as a brick. Walking to the small mirror I have in my room I notice that it's been a whole week since I've taken a shower. I smell badly of body odor and my hair feels like bacon grease.

I haven't had the time to take a shower between cooking all the meals, doing my never ending list of chores, and my beatings. I quickly walk over to the small window and open it. The bird's chirps are more clear now that there isn't a pane of glass doing little to sound out its noise. I slip out and climb onto the roof. For a seventeen-year-old my body is small and frail due to lack of food mainly.

I float down to the ground using my powers. Yes you heard me right. I have special powers. I keep them hidden from my pack because they would use me for bad things, or at least I presume they would. I can control the water and wind elements. Something that I found out was a rare speciality from a book I got my hands on after cleaning the pack library that nobody uses.

I found out that every once in 10,000 years a werewolf like me is born. Whether their powers be any of the elements or not. In the book it had clearly stated that every one born had done something spectacular and grand in their lifetime.

Hickorus, a famous element werewolf had saved the whole werewolf species from complete desolation. Also Rose Heartfelt, a kind woman, had helped our kind get through the both the world wars. Don't ask how she lived for so long. By the time the Second World War ended she had died.

I don't see how that applies to me though. I haven't done anything spectacular and probably never will.

Unless I find a way to get out of this stupid pack. I have had a plan that is full proof hidden in my room for so long I don't know how old it is.

I reach my destination and start to strip off, what I call, my clothes. Slowly, I step into the cooling water that has been untouched by humanity. Other than me, of course. I found this place a few years back when I had been outside for one of my birthdays. It's a small clearing that has a large rock next to a small pond.

I use this place as a bath because the pack doesn't like me using the bathroom in the pack house. I reach over to my clothes as grab out the hotel shampoo and body wash one of the pack members had got me because they were tired of smelling me.

I put shampoo on the palm of my hand and start to scrub my hair. After washing the soap out, using my powers to form the water into a shower head, I then move onto my body. I soon get done and use my wind power as kind of like a blow drier but for the body since I forgot a towel.

Slipping on my clothes, I head off into the woods where I can shift into my wolf and run. Many werewolf's wolf are sandy blonde or brown with brown eyes and sometime blue ones. There are few completely black and white wolves but they are hardly ever heard of. My wolf however is completely white and has green eyes. Sure being a white wolf is somewhat unique, having green eyes as a wolf is unheard of. Even in all the books is read I've never heard of a green eyes wolf. I guess that's just another thing that's sets me from the rest of the werewolves.
