Chapter Three An Old Enemy

The three were walking around thinking of what to do next but Rainbow was thinking about what to call the two separately.

"Why is this so hard?!" Rainbow Steve questioned himself.

Then Rainbow Steve remembered something.

"Hey, Sabre's come here!" Rainbow Steve said and the two walked over.

"What's up?" They both asked at the same time.

"Sabre, my Sabre, you said you had a different name that one time when we played mini-games," Rainbow Steve said.

"Right I did tell you my real name," Sabre said.

"Then what was it?" Rainbow Steve asked.

"Oh, my real name is Elan," Sabre said.

"That's my real name too," Other Sabre said.

"Okay so I am going to call my Sabre, Elan, and you will be Sabre, okay!?" Rainbow Steve said and the two agreed.

The three decided to find a clearing to make a house so they can stay in, they walked off deeper into the forest. The three have been walking for a while when they come across a volcano.

"Hey Rainbow can you fly over to see how big it is?" Elan asked.

"Yeah sure," Rainbow Steve said as he flew over.

As soon as Rainbow Steve disappeared over the volcano Sabre heard a noise in the tree. He walked over to it.

"Where are you going?" Elan asked

"I thought I heard something in the tree," Sabre said as he turned back around to Elan.

As Elan looked up into the tree he saw a black figure above Sabre.

"Look out!" Elan said but it was to late the dark figure jumped down on Sabre and held him down.

Elan recognized the figure.

"Dark Steve!" Elan yelled at him.

"Oh so you remember my name," Dark Steve said, "after all these years of being trapped in the spiritless world I'm finally free,"

It had been so long since Elan had seen Dark Steve, he was the first villain Elan had ever met.

"Leave him alone!" Elan yelled.

"What are you going to do, no powers, no weapons, I don't see Rainbow Steve with you, you have nothing!" Dark Steve said.

"You're wrong Rainbow Steve is here," Elan said hoping Rainbow Steve would come back.

"Where is he then? Oh right over the volcano," Dark Steve said as if he had been watching us since Rainbow Steve went over.

I saw a fireball form in his hands.

"Wait!" Elan yelled. "I can make a deal."

"Oh? What is it?" Dark Steve said.

"You can infect others, right?" Elan asked.

"Yes, why?" Dark Steve asked.

"Elan no. . ." Sabre said knowing what Elan was getting at.

"Infect me as one of your servants and leave Sabre alone," Elan said.

"Oh? Hmm alright, I agree," Dark Steve said getting off of Sabre and walking up to Elan.

Sabre stood up and looked at the two knowing that Elan would be infected with darkness. Dark Steve put his hand on Elans helmet taking it off. Dark Steve then scratched at Elans mask covering his eyes. The scratch had broken the mask and went into Elans Green eye causing him to go blind there.

"Agh-" Elan yelled out in pain as he fell back. Sabre was confused. Is this how he infects in his world?

The mask dropped to the side of his face as the scratch on his eye started to bleed.

"I will be back for my servant soon, the darkness will soon take over your body and you will be mine," Dark Steve said as lightning happened on him and he disappeared.

Elan was left there sitting down blood running down his face in pain. Elan could see out of his still good eye but the other eye was blinded. The three streaks along it poured blood out and Sabre was in shock from what he was seeing.

"Elan. . . Why. . ?" Sabre asked.

"He would've killed you. . ." Elan answered as Rainbow Steve came back down.

"It's pretty big would take a few days-" Rainbow Steve said as he looked at Elan, "what happened?!?!?"

"Dark Steve happened. . ." Elan said and Rainbow Steve went down to him.

"Uh, I don't know what to do!" Rainbow Steve said. "Maybe if we find another person, that can heal maybe!"

"Can't you heal?" Sabre asked.

"It wouldn't work anyway. . ." Elan said.

"Wait why?" Rainbow Steve asked.

"It might have been a long time but," Elan said looking down as a small bit off the infection started to appear around his eye, "when Dark Steve scratches you or even bites you, he can infect you." Elan looked back at Rainbow Steve.

Rainbow Steve backed up a little.

"I- uh- ugh Dark Steve is going to get it!" Rainbow Steve said seeming mad.

"Rainbow I offered him to infected me to save Sabre, he was going to kill Sabre if I didn't do anything," Elan said.

"Elan why! We just found each other!" Rainbow Steve yelled at Elan.

"Look I'm sorry okay! I couldn't find any other way!" Elan yelled standing up. "Maybe you should have been here instead!"

Rainbow Steve looked scared at Elan and he said, "Rainbow I'm sorry. . . It's slowly taking over."

"I think I'll go find help to stop your wound from bleeding out," Sabre said as help walked off.

"I think you need some alone time Elan. . ." Rainbow Steve said as he flew up over the volcano.

Elan was now alone with his own thoughts. He decided not to put on his helmet as he didn't want it to get bloody.

"What the hell is wrong with me. . . Why did I do that!" Elan yelled out as it spread more but this time more like vines would.

"Maybe Rainbow was right I do need alone time, a long time alone. . ." Elan said as he walked into the forest.
