Steve Saga Meets Rainbow Quest

Chapter Five You Okay?

Elan was standing next to Dark Steve, Rainbow didn't know what to do, as he had forgotten how to use some of his powers at that moment in time.

"N-no-," Rainbow Steve heard Elan trying to say but he stopped. Rainbow could see the tears running down Elan's face showing he was trying to fight it even though he had vine-like tentacles coming out of his eye that was black and almost looked like they were on his skin.

But then strikes of lightning followed by the sound made them disappear. It was at this moment Rainbow Steve realized he was crying as well. Rainbow felt his knees give out as he fell to the ground.

"R-Rainbow Steve!?" Sabre yelled worried and he went down to hug Rainbow.

"Why couldn't I do anything. . ?" Rainbow Steve asked.

"You were scared Rainbow Steve," Sabre answered.

"I could have done something!" Rainbow Steve yelled at Sabre. Sabre backed up a bit not knowing what this Rainbow Steve could do.

"If I came back in time this would have never happened," Rainbow Steve said, "if I had never left Elan alone!"

Rainbow was blaming himself for letting Elan get infected.

"Rainbow stop blaming yourself it isn't your fault, how could you have known Dark Steve would be here," Sabre said as someone broke a branch in front of them.

The two looked up. It was Dark Steve!

"What are you doing back here!" Rainbow Steve yelled.

"What do you mean back here? I just came over," Dark Steve said and Sabre realized.

"Wait, Rainbow I think that might be my Dark Steve," Sabre said as he started to walk toward them.

"Dark Steve how were you created?" Sabre asked, "With a Yellow Steve or an Orange Steve?"

"I was originally a Yellow Steve but I later absorbed an Orange Steve," Dark Steve answered.

"Alright," Sabre said.

"Why are you trusting him!" Rainbow yelled.

"Because this Dark Steve has Yellow Steve and Orange Steve in him and they help him realize things," Sabre answered.

"I don't understand how I am back, didn't you split me, Sabre?" Dark Steve asked.

"Yes but there is another me here, we call them Elan, who said that this is more of a pocket dimension where apparently God Steve created-" Sabre kept telling Dark Steve what Elan had explained.

Rainbow Steve didn't understand why Sabre trusted this Dark Steve. Even though they're from the same dimension. Rainbow Steve thought Dark Steve was evil, and that Sabre was being tricked.

"I don't understand Dark Steve is evil he's literally the darkness if it was a steve," Rainbow Steve said confused.

"Well this one realized what he was doing wrong and, they wont hurt us you got to trust me on this one Rainbow," Sabre said in reply. When Rainbow didn't seem convince Sabre thought of something else.

"He might be our only chance to save Elan," When Sabre said that Rainbow looked like he peaked up a bit and then looked like he was thinking.

"I- uh, give me time to think about it," Rainbow then walked off.

Sabre looked at Dark Steve. "You need a nickname." Sabre said knowing they would be getting confused.

"Like?" Dark Steve asked.

"uh, how about, Mid!" Sabre suggested and Dark Steve nodded liking the name.

"Okay Mid it is!"

Sabre took a seat by a tree whilst waiting for Rainbow to come back. Mid sat next to Sabre.

"Ya know Mid, I've always wondered, why cheese is the best food," Sabre asked.

"I- What?" Mid asked confused.

"Cheese." Sabre responded and didn't say anything else leaving Mid to question.
