Mike POV
A week has gone by since we were told about the training camp that was going to be held here by our school with teams from Japan. It has also been a week since me and Sho officially started dating and he told me about his past. I was extremely shocked when Sho came back to school after being on sick leave for 3 days. He had mentioned 3 days prior about all the scars he tried to cover every day before going to school, so I was aware of them. But when he came back to school, I could see scars littering his body. 'He didn't cover them.'
The team panicked since they didn't know the circumstances, so Sho looked at me and took a hold of my hand before turning to look at the others. "I think I'm about ready to open up." he said with a small smile and empty eyes. Everyone looked overjoyed as they shared a look then ran towards Sho and tackled him to the ground in a group hug, even our managers joined in, and when I say that I'm including Mint, The tired Dave and our captains. Every one of us were on the floor laughing and hugging. Happy Sho felt ready to let us into his life a little more and safe enough to talk to us about it.
Sho told them what he had told me, although he let me handle the part with his phone, since he still couldn't handle looking at the photos. He explained that he would no longer cover the scars, and that he would let them be visible. "After all, I'm safe now, my mom isn't here to give me any more scars, and you guys are here with me!" he exclaimed and most of us began crying. Mint kept quietly asking who it was that was cutting so many unions which made us all break down laughing.
Our advisor and coach were also there since Sho felt they, too, were a part of the family he made here. "Thank you everyone!" he added when he was done, a huge smile and tears in his eyes. Everyone except me were shocked, it was a true, genuine smile, it wasn't forced at all, just a natural smile. Everyone was overjoyed. Any onlookers would be able to tell this was a big moment for us all, and a very special one at that.
Then Sho asked us a question which made us all halt and stare, exchanging glances.
Hinata POV
I had finally told everyone about my past and now I just had one question for them. I told them that I had considered getting a special tattoo, and that I was wondering if they wanted one too, that we could all have a matching one. Wherever we wanted it. But the same design or at least motif. "I want something special, something we can all share, whether we are in the team or somewhere else, it'll remind us that we are all, always, no matter where we are... a family" I said grinning, hoping they would be okay with it, or if they would at least entertain the idea. Eventually everyone shouted "hell yeah!" which made me jump slightly in surprise but smile from joy. "Thank you!" I shouted back.
I showed them the design. It was a phoenix rising from the ashes. "Thanks to all of you I was able to change, and look forward again, although I'm still unable to feel as much, I'm able to look forward to what the future will bring" I said, genuine gratitude present in every single word leaving my mouth.
They began asking about the design and when I told them it was a design I had drawn myself they all shouted in shock "what!?", "That's amazing Sho!" and so on. I just looked down awkwardly, feeling embarrassed by their compliments. They all agreed they were okay with getting a tattoo using that design which made me extremely happy.
We all had to book different times, but by the end of the week we all had a tattoo of a phoenix somewhere on our body. I had placed this one on the side of my left arm, below my shoulder. Mike had done the same so we were matching, although his tattoo was on his right arm, mirroring mine, so they were both facing forward, exact copies of each other if we put our arms together..
I had also gotten this one on the side of my right ankle.
The team seemed happy with the design and the result, so that was good.
Team POV
Sho had suddenly asked us if we all wanted to get matching tattoos catching us all by surprise, none of us seemed against it however, so we all nodded looking at each other before shouting "hell yeah!" catching Sho by surprise. The design Sho showed us was amazing so we asked where he got it, that 'we were shocked' when he said it was his own design is an understatement. The design looked professional and well thought through. 'He must've thought this through a lot.'
