I was up at six getting ready for school . I went and got my schedule yesterday , so i'm already set . I herd a knock at my door. "Come in !" I yelled from the closet. "Girl you ready ?" I herd alex say as she walked in. "Yeah ." I said walking out the closet . "Okay . Do's and Don'ts . Don't talk to amber , she's a whore and she's a liar . Don't get caught up with any boys at this school , all they want is to fuck , there's some good ones but their mostly taken . And just have fun and make sure you keep your grades up." She said. "Okay . Im not worried about boys anyway." I said . "Good now lets go." She said and we got in the car and went to school.

We got out the car and met up with her friends and I saw her kiss chris. I guess they're together. "Hey. " I turned to see michael . "Hey ." I laughed and august walked up. "Man would you leave this girl alone." He said. "I was just being nice." michael said and I laughed and he walked away. "So got your schedule yet ?" August asked and I handed it to him. "Wow. All of our classes are the same. Wait , you sing ?" He asked. "Yeah . A little. " I answered. "Well not better than me ." He said and I laughed & he smiled . Im not gone lie , he got a nice smile. "yeah , yeah ." I said as we walked to first period which was chorus. "Well in our first we got chris and, angelique , second we got michael and taylor , third we got michael , and fourth we got alex and anglique." he said as we walked in and sat down . "Okay ." I said with a smile ."You have a nice smile ." He said. "Thanks." I said and chris came in and sat next to us. "Hey yall." He said . "Hey ." we said. "Okay class . Today we're learning about duets . Can somebody tell me what that is ?" He asked and I raised my hand. "Yes miss johnson ?" (Last name) "Its when two people harmonize a song together ." I said. "That's right . Everyone is doing a duet today , so pick a partner and get started." He said . "I got tyla ." Chris said and I laughed. "Man , alright I'll work with angelique. " august said getting up and going to sit with taylor . "Okay what song you wanna do ?" he asked . "We can do one that I wrote." I said handing him the book. "This is good. I didnt know you write." He said reading it . "Okay class , who's first ?" the teacher asked. "We will." Chris said. "This better be good." august said smacking his lips causing me to laugh a little . We got up and walked to the front as it got quiet . Chris nodded his head for me to start . I was so nervous , so I just started.

"If I should die before I wake , It'cause you took my breath away . Loosing you is like living in the world with no air. Oooh ooh ." I sang .
"Im here alone , didn't wanna leave. My heart won't move , its incomplete. If there was a way that I can make you understand." He sang.
"But how , Do you expect me , to live alone with just me ? cause my world revolves around you , it's so hard for me breath . (Tell me how i'm supposed to breath with no air. Can't live, can't breath with no air. That's how I feel when I know yo aint there it's no air , no air.)" I sang.
"Got me out here in the water so deep, tell me how you gone live with out me . If you aint here I just cant breath . Its no air , no air "....."I walked , I ran , I jumped , I flew. Right off the ground to float to you . There's no gravity to hold me down forreal ."He sang.
"But somehow it's still alive inside . You took my breath but I survived . I don't know how but I don't even Caaree."I sang and we finished the song as the class clapped.

"That was really good ." the teacher said as we sat down and angelique and august got up to do their song. August had a beautiful voice , it's like he had soo much emotion with it. They finished their song and the bell rung . "Tyla can I see you for a minute?" the teacher asked. "Sure." I said. "I'll wait for you outside." August said and I nodded and walked up to his desk. "where did you learn to sing like that ?" He asked and I smiled. "I don't know. It's just something I do." I said. "You wrote that song ?" He asked. "Yes sir." I nodded. " good. I need you to write another song for you and august. I think that you two would make a great team." he said. "Thanks." I said and walked out. Me and august went to out next few classes and it was time for lunch.

We walked in and sat down with the others. "Ty. I didnt know you could sing like that." Chris said as he put his arm around alex. "I know girl , you was showing out." Alngelique said eating a cookie. "I didnt know you could sing . Maybe you can sing for us later at my house." Alex said. "Us ?" I asked. "We're having a get together later at our house." she said getting up. "Okay." I said and the bell rung. "We'll see yall later." she said hugging everybody. "Bye ." I said as we walked to the car. "Ty wait." I turned to see august . "wassup?" I said. "Can I get your number ?" He asked. I laughed and saved my number as 'Ty '. "I'll see you later august." I said and got in the car and we pulled off.
