Henry was doing everything in his will to block all the moves his mentor was sending at him some hits he block some hits he did not. His mentor did a spin kick kicking him to the wall with force as Henry leaned against the wall his mentor began speed over to attack him full on Henry quickly dodged the swing of his hand by dipping under his hand and turning to kick him in his back sending him to the ground it wasn't a hard kick because his mentor quickly got up on his feet standing firm.
"Your holding back. You need to give me everything." His mentor scold.
"I am giving everything." Henry panted.
"No your not your holding back, you think this a game?" His voice sounding deep as usual.
"I don't think any of this as a game."
"Then stand up straight and fight like a man." He glared.
Henry did as he's told ready to fight. His mentor speed over to him to punch him But getting use to him he studied his moves. He was quick enough to kick him in his abdomen sending him to the ground, with a coy smile on his face he did a flip landing above him ready to finish him off but his mentor kicked his foot away too quickly for him to even see causing him to fall face forward on the floor.
"Good move but your still to slow." The man said picking him up off the floor aggressively like a dirty old cloth. "What have I told you about staying down on the ground for too long." He pushed him to the wall.
"I needed to catch my breath." Henry complained.
The man in front of him started cackling as it look like he was mocking him. He sped over to him grabbing his throat squeezing it tightly. "Try catching your breath now." Veins appeared under the man's eye as they went form bright brown to bloodshot red and black pupils.
Henry was struggling against the man's grip but then he stopped squeezing his throat and he stopped doing everything all together he just stood there holding him but not as tightly as before. Henry was clueless as why he stopped as if he was frozen. He pulled his neck out of the man's grip looking at him confused.
"James?" He looked at the man closely. He just stood there staring not blinking. He waved his hand across his face but no reaction. Henry was about to push the frozen man but when he reached his hands out to shove him by his shoulder he unfroze with a gasp startling the kid.
"What happen?" He asked now looking at Henry like he was a ghost. He was surprised as to how he moved out of his grip he just had the boy's neck in a locked palm.
"I-uh-y....you froze. Like you were on pause you- you just froze just like that." Henry had a dumbfound looked on his face.
"Honey." A soft voice said gaining there attention. They looked to the direction of voice it was James's wife Lura she smiled at them. "You boys should come to breakfast or you're both gonna be late for work and school." Her husband went to her side smiling kissing her on her cheek as he made his out the practice room.
"Come on." She said to Henry smiling. He followed her.
After Henry accident with his last foster family the system brought him to a family who would understand him and make him comfortable the Hunters were their name's. They did make him comfortable James was like the father he never had and Lura the mother he always wanted his real mother was everything to him and Lura was like that but not the same and not to mention they're two kids they had a son and a daughter Jabril and Serena they all welcomed him.
