New Beginnings

The next day after David gets arrested.

I woke up in the same hospital room as yesterday.

If only this was a castle.

Anyways....

The nurse came in with some food. It was a lot, and I was hungry so I thought I could complete everything.

Sadly I couldn't. Just after first few bites, I started to get full. I wasn't used to getting a lot of food. I felt bad for wasting it, but I really couldn't help. The nurse insisted on having more, but I just apologised to her.

A few hours later, Mr. Adams came with a beautiful girl. Her name was Lily, who Mr. Adams introduced her to be his sister and also my social worker, who would help me to reconnect with my family. I told her that the only family I had, aka my mom, died few years ago. But she thinks that there is a chance my dad would take me in.

He didn't bother for so many years, why would he now.

After having a serious discussion about where I might end up after getting discharged from hospital I decided to get to know Lily better.

"So, how does it feel to have a big brother, who looks so scary?"

Lily laughed at my question, and I swear Mr. Adam chuckled too. He was an intimidating man, of course I am scared of him, but I know that he wont hurt me.

"Well he does look scary. But do you wanna know a secret?" she whispered the last part.

I nodded excitedly. She leaned forward and whispered in my ear, "He is the biggest teddy bear, who likes to cuddle and watch Tangled, whenever he feels sad, and yeah lets not forget his crush on Flynn Ryder."

Mr. Adams gasped dramatically, and said, "I never knew my sister would expose me like that."

I laughed and turned towards Mr. Adams and said, "There is nothing wrong in liking Tangled. Its my favourite movie too. And I love Flynn Ryder. He just looks so.... dreamy." I sighed dreamily.

And that's how Mr. Adams and I started gushing about Flynn Ryder. After a while, Mr. Adams turned towards Lily and smirked before saying.

"Now that my little sister decides to reveal my secret, I get to do the same to her too." He then leaned forward the same way Lily did before and whispered, "She loves One direction. Her room is filled with posters of them. "

I gasped loudly, turned towards Lily and squealed. "You love One Direction. I love them too."

She smiled widely and then we both started to talk about our love for One Direction and how much we miss them. We talked about our favourite song, favourite album, favourite era. Everything.

Then they asked me if I ever wished for siblings.

I told them how I always wished for a big brother. To have someone to cuddle, who would protect me, stand by me, sometimes tease me, so that I can tease him back. They both smiled at my words. I was having a good time, when suddenly a voice that's been stuck in my head since yesterday, started ringing again.

'No matter where you go I will find you. If you decide to move on I won't hesitate to kill you.'

My mood turned sour instantly. This didn't go unnoticed by Mr. Adams. He immediately questioned it.

"What happened Violet? Is something still bothering you? Should I call the doctor? Are you okay?"

I am not okay. I am far from okay.
