Ch4: Interrupting Departure

Astranova arrived outside of Headquarters.

She was packed and ready to go.

Just as she was about to look up into the night sky, she heard the ship door open.

Astranova looked towards the sound and saw Zeeter.

*What is Zeeter doing out here in the middle of the night...? She probably overheard that I was going on a mission. Ugh! Why can't she stay out of my business...?! This was definitely the reason why Bula dumped her in the first place.* She said to herself as the lavender Zula Patroller came walking up to her.

"Hi, Zeeter." Astranova said, beginning a conversation with her.

Zeeter looked up at her and placed her right hand over her forehead, in salute.

"Good morning, Captain. What are you doing up so early in the morning?" She said, with an interrogative tone of voice.

Astranova had to think up an excuse and fast.

Her friend Luna was in trouble and she needed to get to her.

"I... I was uh... I couldn't sleep." She said, saying her great excuse.

Zeeter quietly laughed a little.

"Aww. What's the matter? Did the baby have a bad nightmare?" She teased.

Astranova then got really mad.

"Don't start with me, Zeeter! I have somewhere very important to be right now!" She said, not realizing that she had just revealed the real reason as to why she was out here.

Zeeter chuckled.

"Let me guess... You're going on a mission, aren't you?" She said, with one hand on her hip.

Astranova sighed in defeat.

Why couldn't Zeeter just leave her alone...?

But then again...

Would Zeeter leave her alone if she told her the truth...?

"Hello??? Zula to Astranova, do you read??" Zeeter said, trying to get Astranova's attention.

Astranova's eyes blinked twice.

"Yes, Zeeter. I am going on a mission. My best friend Luna is on Earth and she's in trouble." She said, responding truthfully to Zeeter's question.

So far so good...

"Great! Let me go wake up the team and we'll come with you!" Zeeter said, excitedly as she now began to walk away.
