I'm sorry guys, but these last few chapters have just been pure brain-constipation. ADHD/ADD brains are wired wrong, we get no gratification from completing high priority tasks, on the chemical neurotransmitter level that is, we get more of a kick out of slacking off and doing less important tasks, which is why when I attended school, I got so much done in this story in spite of my lazy personality. but now that there is nothing more important to do than this, my brain is just like *overburdened with indifference* and the few chapters I have managed to eke out have been awful.

The only reason I have returned (at all) is because I have been inspired by Snekguy, the absolute legend. He is the greatest workaholic I have ever seen, I witnessed him write and edit a 117,000-word novel in just over 3 months, WTF! it took me two years to get to 30,000. His largest story project is Pinwheel, a sort of pseudo anthology series with 24 installments so far, set in the distant future with humanity as members of a fledgling galactic coalition of species allied against the insectoid Betelgeusians, that is the barest summary and is literally part of the description blurb of the first book. I won't say much more than that about the story because I will probably spoil something and fail to do any of it justice.  Snekguy's MO by the way is erotic novels, so there is a lot of alien smut woven into the narratives, but there is also plenty of actual plot and action to back it up. I don't say that lightly either, I legitimately read them for the plot because it's so facken gooooood!

I was so inspired and excited by the quality of his work that, like the leech that I am, I tried to do some back seat driving, intent on shoehorning my ideas and concepts into his Pinwheel universe, I like to think I did a pretty good job, with a well developed alien species proposal and a 20-page Google doc to flesh out the concepts and details of their planet and culture, I tried to give it to him to use in future installments, but he turned me down even in spite of his great interest, and I have nothing but respect for the way that he did it, there was no veto, no condescending or angry denial, he played along and recognized how much work I had put into it, and in turn, told me how much thought and forward planning he put into his projects, and gave me many good reasons as to why canonizing fan species would be a bad idea, and why he had to turn me down.

I honestly wish Schizo Writer would have turned me down in the same way, so this mess of a story would not have existed.    : \
