When I woke up that morning one of the officers bad given me a letter that was from my parents even though I was suprised that they could actually write." Dear Roxy, we had gotten the message that you went to camp. We are dissapointed in you and we thought we had tault you better. But you chose the wrong track but we will be waiting here ready to punish you. Sincerely mom and dad."YOU DIDNT RAISE ME RIGHT! YOUR THE REASON IM THIS WAY AND I AM NEVER COMING BACK!" I was so mad I just wanted to throw a chair out the window. One of the campers outside hear me screaming and come in. "Hey,are you OK I heard screaming" I tried to act cool and answer without looking so mad." Yeah I'm fine dont worry" the girl actually believe s me and leaves. I begin my work hours and as I am digging my hole in the ground I see a shining object in the dirt.I thought it was nothing but my temptation and curiosity got the best of me and I got the shining object.I grab my water bottle that they provided for the people who work outside and I clean the object.the shining object turned out to be a locket,it was a circle locket with diamonds on the sides which was where the sparkling came from. Inside the locket was a picture of a little girl and her mom and dad together smiling and not fighting unlike my family.According to the wardens rules,if we found something valuable like gold of other artifacts of good we were supposed to give it to an officer so that they can give it to the warden but I could not get myself to do it.The picture of the family reminds me of the family I wished I had and if I had that family I would not have committed that theft and would not be here and would not be this way. I decided to hide the locket in my pocket until I got to the cabin. After I finish my work and eat dinner I head to my bed and put the locket between the mattresses. I went to go drink with the girls and when everyone fell asleep I turned on the flashlight and looked at the locket carefully." Hey,what is that" Debby startled me as I try to figure out a lie but I decide to tell the truth." Its a locket I found in one of the ditches. Please don't tell the warden I have it" I tell Debby hoping that she will not stab me in the back and lie." Dont worry,I'm no snitch." I was relived that Debby decided to keep the secret but maybe not for long.
