Elizabeth POV

"Ugh.." I say as Phillip crosses the courtyard, his shiny medals clicking against his formal clothes. He doesn't even look my way as I strut past, my guards lurking near by to ensure my safety.

As the Queen of England you would think everyone would look at me awe struck and yet there he goes, my husband not even paying attention to me.

Now if I'm being honest, being part of the royal family means we marry for unity and money so it's not like I chose to marry Phillip but you would think I'd like him at least a bit. Nope.

He's rude and stuck up if I'm being honest yet somehow the public hasn't caught on to his behaviour. We have separated bedrooms and we're only seen together for publicity. We have nothing in common and I'm sure he has some random girl he hooks up with on the weekends.

That is why I find it strange to find him in the library one day after I had my photo taken for the newspaper. The library is one of my favourite places to be as it is quiet and comforting filled to the brim with books of all genre for my pleasure. I let myself indulge in a good book every once and a while. My current favourite books are those from the romance section, I'm a sucker for cliques in romance novels. I always wished I could have my prince charming like in the books where I could be swept off my feet by a handsome young man who gave me the up most amount of love there was to give to a person. 'I scoff' That only happens in the books though.

From where I was stood in the large oak wood door frame, Phillip was scanning through the shelves, light gleaming onto his light skin making his silver hair glimmer. Handsome.

No. That's not how I should view Phillip.

Phillip POV

I haven't been to the library before so I thought today would be a good day to change that. I pulled open the old oak doors revealing shelves upon shelves of hardback books with various colour and sizes sticking out. It was relaxing to look at.

Despite Elizabeth spending time in here it was a perfect place to sit calmly and listen to the birds as you flick through books gently during sunsets.

'Well..' I thought, 'I should probably get a book if I plan to stay here for some time'

Si-fi?

Biography?
no, thanks

Romance
not my style..

wait

I pick up an interesting looking book with a soft, deep red cover and slightly worn gold lettering. Romeo and Juliet.

Oh

This is a classic, I might as well considering the time I have to waste not being in the presence of that insufferable Elizabeth. I find a nice sofa and coffee table to sit down at with the book as I hear foot steps coming from the door way...
