Draco's Hufflepuff

Twenty Nine

O.W.L.S spontaneously cancelled by the Weasley twins. Check.

Dumbledore's army and everyone exposed. Check.

Umbridge taking control of the school and making everyone miserable. Check.

Draco rubbing it all in my face because he thinks he won. Check...

This year everything was going downhill. 

"I still don't get it Amelia. Why did you join an army? You could've gotten hurt and you better be glad you're not expelled, yet." Jack said.

"I know! I screwed up ok? But it's all because of those conniving evil little inquisitorial idiots."

"Well what are you gonna do now?" 

"I don't know, all we can really do is wait. I got away from the squad, but Drac... Malfoy stopped me from meeting up with Neville and the others. I don't know where they went."

"How'd you get away from Malfoy?"

"Uhh.."

"Amelia?"

"I just stunned him and ran away."

I really just forced him to let me go and he obliged. He said I wouldn't be able to do anything anyways. We went our separate ways to seem less suspicious too. Good thing because I had run into Jack just a few moments after I had left Draco.

"What a wuss."

"Yeah haha, he's a real wuss." I agreed.

"Amelia!" Maggie cried. 

She ran up panting and hugged me. I hugged her back glad to see her after all that had transpired.

"I'm so glad you're ok."

"Yeah, I'm glad you're ok too Mags."

"So what's going to happen now?" 

"I don't know."

Jack took Maggie's hand in his and she looked at him lovingly. It wasn't fair. They could do this out in the open like this and no one would judge them. Not that Malfoy would ever show affection in front of anyone but still. I wanted what they had. 

I pulled my wand out of my pocket and realized that it wasn't even my wand at all. It was Draco's. Shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot. I shoved it back into my pocket but not before Maggie caught a glance of it. She raised an eyebrow and gave me a knowing smirk. 

"Hey uh you know what? I think I'm gonna go see if Lenox is doing ok." I said walking backwards. Maggie gave me a thumbs up and Jack just looked at me confused.

"Really? You're checking on your dumb bird?"

"He is not dumb!"

"Whatever."

I rolled my eyes and hurried towards the Slytherin common room. He must be around this area somewhere. I can't believe it took this long to notice I had the wrong wand. We were a little distracted...

"Oh look it's one of Potter's little leeches." Pansy called to me.

I turned to face her and three other girls. They all looked disheveled and angry. 

"I still have vomit in my hair thanks your stupid ginger friend, since he's not here we should get payback from at least one of you." She started to walk towards me and I backed away bumping into someone. 

"Going somewhere?" A low voice asked. It was Goyle. 

I was trapped. They surrounded me and I knew I was going to get pummeled to the ground once again. My poor new glasses. If I brought out Draco's wand they would go mad. I would just have to endure it.
