"So, what, I can't speak to him for a month? He's my teacher!"

Phil sighed, pulling on the handbrake. "No, that would be too unreasonable. You just need to keep it professional, pass your exams in a few weeks, and THEN i'll meet him and we can see where it goes." George grabbed his bag in annoyance, huffing loud enough for Phil to hear. "This is new for you George, liking someone like this. Take it slow."

George blinked and stuttered, still not wrapping his head around it all. "Liking someone?"

"Yeah, you like Cla- Mr. Dream... romantically. Your emotions will be all mixed up and confusing, so just keep calm and take it easy."

The younger pulled on his backpack and got out the car, nodding. "Right... romantically..."

By the end of the month, George would understand why falling in love with someone sucked so much. 10 stomach-knotting reasons to be exact.

1. Liking someone makes you feel -things-

George wasn't one for strong emotions. He liked being happy, he didn't mind being bored, he dealt with being sad. It was all pretty average, expected at this point. But liking someone? Walking into his classroom and seeing those eyes smile back, so warmly. It was something so suffocating, his chest feeling so full and tight and just different. It was too powerful of an emotion, it made George want to hug Dream and kiss him and bask in the intoxicating presence that halted him this way.

And it sucked.

"Morning, Davidson. Homework at the front on the pile before you take your seat, please." Dream stood tall at the white board, side eyeing him with a mischievous glint before turning back to the writing.

George would just stand and gawk, the sight of such a stimulating figure shutting him down time after time again. It was heart stopping, light bouncing off his glitter dusted skin and gold plated waves of hair. Immobilising.

"Davidson?"

Dream's eyebrow raised, and George nodded subtly. His homework thrown on the desk and his legs carrying him quickly to the back before his heart could start panicking and attempting daring stunts and somersaults in his chest. Stunts far too dangerous for a 9am class about 1's and 0's.

2. Getting attached to someone is distracting

The class's soon became harder to focus on. George had told Dream about Phil's arrangement straight after their first lesson, and of course he had agreed. No sex, no kissing, no nothing till George was officially out of school. But that didn't stop the feelings George experienced. All it took was one quick, innocent little glance and he was already undone, breathing fast and cheeks red.

George didn't want to accept just how much he cared for the man, but not being able to talk to him, no, hold him, in days was doing a number on the small boy. "Hey dude, we're on page 27."

Sapnap's words were always grounding as he lean over his desk, but George still felt like he was floating in space as he watched the man talk in front of him of the class. "Th-thanks." George flipped the page, eyes glued to the teachers mouth.
