Wendy was driving from the mail station to her house. It was a cold day and she loved it though she wasn't someone who could stand the cold temperature. She loves autumn. She believes beautiful memories are made in autumn.

She looked at the mailbox she placed on the passenger seat.

"From: Jongdae Kim
To: Wendy Shon"

She sighed. She turned on the radio and Taylor Swift's songs played. "This must be a coincidence." she thought.

Wendy remembered the time Jongdae and her were singing Taylor Swift's songs. They loved singing, more so, they both loved Taylor Swift.

She can still picture that day, they were on their way to his house, autumn leaves were falling, them singing in the car, his sweet disposition and her wide-eyed gaze. She still remembers he almost ran red because he was looking over her.

Wendy arrived at her home. She walked through the door of her apartment welcomed by silence, the same like how she walked through his door, the only difference was she was welcomed by his family.

His mother showed her photos of him including the one where he had glasses sitting on a twin size bed. She told her lots of stories, like how he used to be on a tee ball team.

She still remembers how Jongdae told her that she was his future.

But that was before, those stories were all long gone.

She looked for a cutter in the kitchen. The same kitchen they danced around in the refrigerator light.

"Maybe we got lost in translation"
"Maybe I asked for too much."

Thoughts like those still continue to rummage through her head. She still wasn't unsure why he called and broke off their relationship, she thought they were doing well. In the name of being honest, it was very heartbreaking and cruel for her.

The relationship took a toll on her. She might look happy, but she's not. She'd cry herself at night, wondering where it all went wrong. As time goes by, she desperately wishes she'd be her old self again, but she's still finding it. She's still finding the old Wendy, the happy Wendy.

She opened the mailbox from Jongdae and sorted out her belongings from the box.

She noticed her scarf wasn't there. The scarf she left at his sister's house.

She knows he can't get rid of it, because she knows he remembers it all too well.

He was always there, he remembers it all too well. From the wind in her hair to them dancing in her kitchen. She knew he remembers it all too well.

As Pablo Neruda quotes, "Love is so short, forgetting is so long."

She hugs her legs. She doesn't want to remember the good things and the bad things, but she remembers it all too well.

All too well.
