I felt my heart skip a beat at that notification. Critical decision? I hope I made the right choice. There's no going back now.

I gulp down a pool of saliva pooling inside my mouth. I was nervous, worried and scared. I wonder if this is a game where we lose lives. What happens if I lost all my lives? I didn't want to think about it.

Day after day, I still haven't gotten a clue on what this game is about. I really should start working harder or else.

Today is the day. I have to meet up with Kenzo and Dawsey. It's great news that they agreed to hang out together.

I checked myself out at the mirror. I need to look as presentable as possible. I didn't overdo it since I didn't want to look like a try-hard. Annnnnnd, finished!

I had a cute outfit on and light makeup to go with my outfit. I wanted to look natural. Nothing special.

We all agreed to meet up at a local park. I got ready and left my apartment.

"Y/N-chan!" They both call out to me in sync. I turn around at the voices of Dawsey and Kenzo. "We made it just in time." Kenzo smiles at me. "Let's go?" Dawsey suggests as I nod my head in response.

We decided to go to the mall. We looked around and tried to find something worth buying.

"Look! Two hotties."

"Who is she?"

"I'm super jealous!"

I felt the jealous whispers and the glares of the others around me. This is a first. I wasn't usually the centre of attention back in my old life.

"Hey (Y/N), you good? You're spacing out." Dawsey asks worriedly. "O-oh, sorry." I apologised. I look around only to find Kenzo missing. "Where's Kenzo?" I asked in a panic.

"Oh, he said he's going to the toilet. We should just wait here." Dawsey answers my question.

After waiting for a few minutes, someone taps on my shoulder. I turn around only to be slapped right across the face. I fall to the floor, face first due to the impact. "(Y/N)!" Dawsey walks up to me and helps me get up from the floor.

"WHO IS SHE?!"

What? Another character...

"Stacy! What are you doing here?!" Dawsey helps me up and glares at this so-called "Stacy".

"I should be asking YOU that," she says furiously. I rub my cheek in pain.  "You! Who are you and why are you with my boyfriend?!" She gives me a death glare.

"Boyfriend?" I mumble to myself. "Ex-boyfriend," Dawsey emphasises as he glares at Stacy.

New information gained!

They both started to argue and start a scene. I tried so many times to break the fight, but it was futile. "Hey, I'm back. Huh?" Kenzo returns with a smile, only for that smile to immediately disappear once he saw what was happening.
