Epilogue - 3 years later

Author note: It's finally here!!!! Thank you to all those who waited all these months for this. It was lots of fun to write it and I hope you have lots of fun reading it. You're all awesome for encouraging me to do this. I love yall :)

Birds chirped in the distance as his eyelids started getting warm, he started feeling the bed covers against his partially naked body, realizing his feet were outside of it and quickly bringing them back in. His whole face felt warm and the alarm started playing loudly. A groan came out of his mouth as he opened his eyes slowly.

A scream came out and he almost fell out of bed upon seeing a round purple face with two big yellow eyes staring at him. The alarm still rang loudly as his panting joined the noise.

"Fuck" he groaned again sitting up and turning the annoying noise off. "It's been so long...and you STILL scare me like that?" the blonde complains as he turns his face to the small purple snake curled on the empty side of the bed, the animal just blinked slowly, Naruto sighed. "Fine, I'm also happy to see you" he rolled his eyes as a smile appeared while he took the small scroll on its back. This one was arriving earlier than normal.

"I thought I was going to have to ask you to congratulate Sakura for me, but I'll be able to do it myself. The mission is done and we're heading out later this morning."

An even bigger smile lights up his sleepy face.

"So I should be back around the time you receive this.

And yes, I'm bringing the freaking sweets you asked, don't worry"

A laugh joined the smile.

"I'm done with this misty humid weather.

See you soon, usuratonkachi.

Sasuke"

He looked around the bedroom, Sasuke's reading glasses sat on his bedside table as always, as well as a photograph of his family, the Team 7 picture rested on Naruto's side. The opposite wall to their bed had two hooks, one with the Hokage cloak on it, the other reserved for Sasuke's long dark cloak. Their clan crests decorating the wall on top of the hooks. And a decorative shelf on the bottom with a plant Sakura gave them and the photo of Team 7 in the hospital almost five years ago. Naruto sighed again, gave Saki a cookie from the bag he kept next to the bed (precisely for this kind of occasion), and stood up to get ready for his day, getting ready to see Sasuke any minute.

"I'll be back soon, house" Naruto laughed as he opened the door, only to find an unamused deep black eye looking at him, the rest of his black hair covering the other half of his face.

"Sasuke" Naruto whispered, his jaw dropped to only slowly transitioning to a big smile as he realized who was in front of him.

"I'm home, usuratonkachi" a short smile decorated his face and he eye-rolled, Naruto's smile widened and his body couldn't hold the spike of joy and rushed to hug Sasuke as tight as he could, the other took a step back and returned the hug right away.

"Next time I'm giving you a shorter mission, three weeks was way too much" Naruto complained as they let go of the hug, Sasuke chuckled. "Stop by the tower later?"

"Yeah, I'll rest a bit and then stop by to drop the report"

Naruto nodded with a smile "Good! But before I go..." he smirked as he took Sasuke's cheek on his hand and locked their lips together, Sasuke squeezed Naruto's arm as he replied to the kiss.

"Dumbass" he sighed as they separated.

"You love me like that" Naruto laughed as he walked past him. "See ya!"
