The Wonka Raceway Is A Lug Nut Cup Series Track Located In Covington Virginia And Has Hosted The Shine Star 400 Ever Since It Opened In 1950.
In 1950 Jay Renttio made it three wide on the first lap to take the lead. On Lap 38 Rusty Rails Spun Out And Did Not Hit Anything And On Lap 101 He Spun Out Again but still did not hit anything. Jay Renttio won the race and making three in a row the first time anyone has done that and Rusty Rails turned Luke Wheelround and Kevin Wheelround hit him taking both out of the race of the last lap.
In 1951 Rusty Rails became the first driver to get replaced for a few races by his backup after he slammed the wall and got injured. Code Roadrunner was his backup and replaced him for two races. James Millows won the race.
