Chapter 5

"Kiara can you sit still before you get mascara on your face and I have to start all over." Kianna fussed at me.

"I'm sorry." I said

"You look beautiful baby." She said she had just straightened my hair and was doing my make up. My dress was hanging up on my closet. I was actually excited for once. I never really go out anywhere so I was looking forward to it.

"Thank you." I said

"Don't be shy tonight. Have fun and let loose. Don't let anyone ruin your night." She said I smiled

"Thank you and I won't." I said

"You say thank you entirely way too much." She said I laughed

"I'm sorry." I said

"It's okay you're all done. Now go put on your beautiful dress. I have to do my own makeup and get ready." She said walking out. I got dressed and looked at myself. I looked absolutely beautiful. I never thought i could feel this way about myself. I felt like a princess.

"Look at my beautiful baby." My mom said. She was making her rounds.

"Hi." I said She came in and gave me a big hug.

"Come here I got something for you." She said I got out the mirror and walked with my mom into her room. Am i really turning into that girl. She pulled 4 boxes and handed them to me.

"This is my wedding jewelry set. My wedding dress looked a lot like your dress just longer." She said she opened the boxes and in laid a beautiful diamond set. I looked at her.

"Mommy that had to cost thousands of dollars. I don't want to be responsible if i lose it." I said

"You won't lose it. You look so beautiful baby I want you to have it." She said I looked at her like she was crazy.

"Ma this is really expensive jewelry. Are you sure?" I asked She placed the necklace around my neck and kissed my cheek.

"Yes you look beautiful." She said i put the rest of the jewelry on and looked at myself. I looked amazing.

"Kiara your date is here." Brandon called I took a deep breath and mommy walked me downstairs.

"Wow you look absolutely beautiful." Jayden said I smiled and gave him a hug.

"Watch my little sister bruh." Brandon said giving him dap.

"I got her." Jayden said he looked at me and kissed my cheek. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah I'm ready." I said I clinged on to his arm and we walked out.

"Bye baby have a good time. I'll see you when you come home." My mom said

"Bye mommy, Bye Brandon." I said

"Bye I'll see you there." He said I smiled and we got in Jayden's brother car. His friends Christian, Khalil and Jaylon were in the car as well. It was awkward because I was the ONLY girl in the car. They were talking about their last game they played and how they were happy to have beaten Snowden. Unfortunately I missed that game because of my doctor's appointment to get contacts.

"Kiara you look so different from the last time I saw you ma." Christian said

"She don't have her glasses on and she straightened her hair." Jayden explained.

"You should not wear glasses more often." Christian said

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked

"That you actually look good. You're a pretty girl Kiara and when you get those braces off you'll look even better. But until then you should just keep your contacts in or whatever you're wearing." He said
