Between loss and recovery, is where you will find grief. A horrid, harmful monster who's claws and teeth will sink deep into your flesh, gouging out parts of your body and leaving deep scars.
It will take hold of you and keep you for aslong as you refuse to fight, it will hold you closer and make you one with it, leaving you hollow and numb... If you allow it.
If you choose to fight, it will be scared off and retract its claws, allowing you that moment of respite that you truly need to recover and catch your breath.
Those scars will always be there sadly, but you will learn to deal with them and accept them as a part of you. But never let go of the memories of before the monster set it's sight on you, for those are your sword, your shield and your armour. Griefs deadliest weakness will always be happyness and joy and love. The love that parents have for their child, their baby, their little bump
(Dedicated to Thalia Elizabeth Heather Kirsten/ Daniel Christopher Gary Shaun Sheehan... Sleep well bump, Mommy and Daddy love you so much)
