A while after you have dealt with the grief and the pain and the emptiness... Complacency will set in. It is a very untrustworthy worthy feeling, don't let yourself be fooled by it. Trust it too much and you will relapse.
You will fall further than you ever did before into that deep dark pit, only this time, the walls are steep and withered and cracker. Claw marks show how many times you have fought your way out of that dark, unforgiving and torturous place and each time you find yourself there dyou will ask yourself "is the fight really worth it? Do I have the strength to fight again?"..... The honest answer is.... I don't know unfortunately. That is something thaat I can't answer for you.
You need to discover that on your own and there will never be any hard feelings or anger from either side of that decision.... Only broken hearts or tears of joy from those you hold dearest.
If you are going to fight, if you are going to stay and you can't find a reason to stay for you.... There will always be a reason to stay for them. They will be you lighthouse against the rocky shore, the glimmering light through the fog.... They will be your northern star.
Unfortunately... Not everyone makes it back from that place, there scars upon the surface of the walls are the only reminder that they were, that they no longer are.
If you find yourself in that place against your better knowledge.... Use her as your northern star.... She will save you as many times as necessary for you to be in calm open waters again
