TW: Assault, and some blood

"I-I don't know what you're talking about! I'm dedicated to god j-just like you!" Sarv pleaded with the church, but there's no way she'll convince them. While Sarv begged for them to believe her, I watched from the other side of the room.

Apparently, one of the Nuns had seen her full demon and immediately told the church. Why she was stupid enough to do that inside the church? I have no idea. The only reason Sarv and I joined was that she wanted to cause mayhem and leach off the negative energy. I don't know why I had to as well, but she forced me to anyway.

"NO! I don't want to hear anymore! You're leaving this church and never coming back!"

"B-But father, you have to believe me! I've done nothing wrong!!" Sarv started crying, probably fake tears as she continued to beg. The priest wasn't budging. Suddenly, he turned to me.

"And YOU. You have something to do with this, I know it! What are you hiding?" He yelled.

For a moment, I couldn't get any words out. Lying on the spot was never something I was good at.

"Uh...I'm not hiding anything? I didn't know either!" I tried to sound convincing.

"Just more lies on more lies! Both of you can leave this instance! NOW GO!"

...

We both fled the church that night, Sarv was angry she couldn't get enough negative energy, but I wasn't really bothered. That church was shitty anyway.

"Goddammit! How did anyone see me? I was so careful about it- fuck!" Sarv angrily paced around, kicking the ground.

"Calm down. You could always go somewhere else for energy," I replied. "there's plenty of other places."

"But you don't understand Ruv! Now I have nowhere to go, no energy, and a shitty reputation!" She screamed. Her voice echoed through the dark streets.

"Oh right, we're homeless now." That church was our home and source of food. Well done Sarv.

"Ya think? What are we gonna do now?" Sarv asked.

"We could find an apartment or something, we still have some money." I answered, "And probably get a job."

She calmed down a bit.

"Yeah, that sounds fine. I can go looking now, seeing as we have nothing better to do." She ripped the veil off her head, revealing her strawberry pink hair. I adjusted my hat slightly.

"I'll just stay here, text me if you need something."

"Okay, see you soon!" Sarv took off down the streets. Soon she was out of view.

I walked down the street, found an alleyway, and decided to sit there for a bit. It was an uncomfortably quiet night, but I tried not to pay attention. I started to hear car driving, and it didn't concern me. Until the car stopped in front of the alley. Three men got out of the car.

Then they noticed me.

"Huh? What's a punk like you doing here?" One of the guys demanded. Ruv ignored him.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" He demanded yet again.

"Piss off. Mind your own damn business." I growl. He caught onto my accent.

"Oh? Why don't you go back to Soviet Russia and drink cheap vodka!" He imitated my voice, the others laughed and did the same. This made me angry.

"Will you leave me alone? Why don't you go back to your shitty motel and eat leftover takeout"

Rage flashed across all of their faces. They pulled out weapons. One had a baseball bat with nails all over it, one had a machete, and the last one pulled out nunchucks.

"I hope they taught you how to fight back in Russia," He chuckled. "You'll need it!"

I'm strong, but I know I can't fight them all off. I immediately stood up to escape, but one was already flying at me with his machete. I caught the blade in my hands, causing them to bleed. I kicked him in the stomach, dodged the baseball bat, and sprinted down the alleyway. My hands stung from the cuts, but that was the least of my problems.

I ran as fast as I could, bolting farther into the alleyways.

...

They chased me through the alleys not that far behind. I was fast, but I couldn't run forever. I must have been running for maybe 25 minutes now, and I was getting weak.

Blood dripped from my hands, making it easy to follow me. I was losing hope. There wasn't a whole lot I could do. I turned a corner into another alley, the gang not that far behind. There was a guy in this alley, wearing a teal hoodie and brown pants. But before I could say anything, I tripped and fell.

I tried to get up quickly, but my body refused to take me any farther. Not a lot of things scared me, but right now I was terrified. I began crying hot angry tears. How could I be so foolish?

"Holy shit- Are you okay?" The other guy in the alley called.

"Ha! We got you now Russian boy!"

Is this...really it? How I die? Dying in an alleyway by the hands of gang members. I'm such a fool.

Suddenly, I was grabbed by the waist and swooped into the air, falling into the arms of someone. Whoever it was was carrying me bridal style and running fast.

I looked up and was met with a guy with a...bomb for a face? I saw the teal hoodie and realized it was the guy from the alley. He was running from the gang too, carrying me with him. But, why?

"Why...are you saving me?" I asked weakly. His eyes darted down to my face, a puzzled look on his face.

Then he abruptly stopped. I looked ahead, and there was a dead end. The gang wasn't that far behind.

"Oh shit." He muttered.

"Looks like you're in trouble now, huh? Shouldn't have tried to play hero, bomb-face"

he looked at me again.

"Cover your ears." He ordered. I was confused but complied anyway. He turned back to face the gang, rage written all over his face.

He raised his foot and stomped as hard as he could, letting out a scream that sounded awfully like an electric guitar. The ground eroded beneath his feet like an earthquake, sending concrete in the air. Despite covering them, my ears began ringing horribly. My head started hurting immensely.

I just...want it to stop.

Make it stop.

Consciousness slipped out of my grasp.
