the walk back to dream's apartment was definitely not one that george would want to happen again.

the air between them that they shared was tense, with hardly any words being mumbled back and forth and the breeze being commented on over a million times.

the brunette could sense that the blonde had something that was biting at him, since every now and then dream would stare longingly at the shorter as if he was questioning whether or not he regretted inviting him to his home or not.

nevertheless, they made it back safely.

"i'll give you a small tour, though there isn't much to it," dream nodded to george as they entered the door.

"over here is the guest room, though it is quite small. i don't typically have guests, the bed is literally twin sized," dream chuckled lightly, signaling to the door opposite of what george assumed was the blonde's room.

george opened the door, eyeing the small bedroom with a single bed and a drawer area with a mirror on top.

even with the small size and minimal furniture or even life, it was better than sleeping on a random park bench in the middle of the streets.

"it's alright," george shrugged it off, setting down his bags.

dream gave a nod of approval before leading george back to the living room.

"just a couch and tv, remotes are always on the coffee table. the kitchen is over there as well, but i usually order food," dream pointed to each area, flopping down on the couch and patting the spot next to him for george to sit.

"you don't ever cook?" george raised a brow, sitting down cautiously on the blonde's couch. he made sure to keep a few inches of distance.

"i'm not really the best at it," dream admitted with a slight shrug, looking away as his face turned a slight shade of pink from embarrassment.

"i know how to cook some stuff, so maybe that could be my gesture to you for allowing me to stay here," george let out a shy laugh, watching dream's facial expression change slightly as he giggled along with the brunette.

"well," dream scratched his neck, placing his hands onto his phone and tossing it back and forth between his palms. "there is one thing you could do."

george's eyes barely widened at the response.

good lord, he was hoping this guy wasn't about to drag him into his mafia family business or some shit.

"which is?"

the blonde sucked in a breath.

"this is going to sound stupid, but i'm pretty desperate right now. i'm uh- i'm pretty famous, i guess?"

george narrowed his eyes. "go on?"

"well, i need something to stir up the fans for a little bit. my managers have been begging me too and, well- i need someone to be my fake date for a while."

george nodded his head. "so you need me to find you a date?"

"not necessarily, i would prefer if you maybe were the date- since you're already staying at my place."

the brunette looked away, eyes wide and face flushed with an emotion he couldn't decide over.

"look, i know it's random, and you don't necessarily have to, but i would really appreciate it. it'll only be for, like, a week, and i'll pay you daily for it."

george perked at the last sentence. pay daily?

"only for a week?" george asked with a head tilt.

"a week, and free pay."

george nodded his head with a small sigh. "i'll do it."

"oh come on, it won't be too bad. there's no way the photographer will make you do anything awful, and we can even ask them to have you facing away from the camera so you aren't revealed yet!"

george tapped his leg, eyeing the pictures that the blonde had posted on his instagram.

he wasn't going to lie, the blonde boy was a good model. his skin shone in each picture, and his complex was bright and intriguing. george could definitely understand why girls and guys could swoon over the pictures of this guy.

but would he really want to pose with him?

if dream's manager wanted drama, george would probably be forced into something rather uncomfortable for the public's enjoyment.

did he really want that?

"i'll give you $100 for the photo shoot, i swear on it. i'll make sure they don't do anything too weird, also," dream begged, pulling out $100 in cash for george to take.

the brunette eyed the money before rolling his eyes in exaggeration, taking the $100 from the blonde's hands.

he was in for a fun week.
