Chapter 12

Hello I'm  back after 3000 years, sorry if I haven't been posting lately, I was genuinely waiting for chapter 139 as it was the last chapter and I wanted to finish it and make this story more like the original one. I don't want it to be too off so yea. Don't worry there won't be much spoilers I hope,  I know how irritating it is for Anime onlies but I can't promise there won't be any otherwise

Chapter 12- Paradis

Annie was getting ready to give you her iconic kick but you blocked her with your hand. She used her other technique where she would kick your leg by her other leg from the side to pin you to the ground. But you've been around her and fought with her way too many times that you knew exactly what her next moves are gonna be. Before she manages to kick your leg, you suddenly launch at her (note: you are still holding her leg) causing her to lose balance and fall on her back. She winced in pain

“Lets have another round” she said as she was trying to get up.
You were really surprised to see her being that devoted to beating you. After another round, she was again on her back laying on the ground.
“Your techniques are unpredictable” she said as she wipes her bleeding nose.
Here is the thing about you, while others would use the same technique over and over again which eventually makes the opponent study their movements, your father tought you that. That's why you kept on changing and changing depending on the opponent's moves so they won't be able to predict on what you would do next. Zeke, if not one of the strongest warrior always told you that you are really quick at ready and understanding the solution and that he believes there won't be any other Minding Titan who is as good as you would be because of your talents. Of course you being the humble person that you are had to decline the statements saying that everyone cannot be like others but they can be the best of themselves.

“Y/n-san, you are really good at combats, I mean good for you, I just really happen to suck at it” Bertholdt compliments you as he was scratching his head.
“Its okay Bert, I believe that one day you would be able to make decisions for yourself and live on your own, I'm not saying thats when you would become stronger, I'm saying that because your life is yours, if you keep on repeating what your doing example, following either Reiner or Annie all the time waiting for them to ask you to do something isn't going to help you develop your own freedom of will. I'm just saying, you can do whatever you want, even if following the two of them forever is what you wanna do then do it, sorry if thats way too out of topic, but I don't think combats are gonna be useful as long as we have the titan powers” you said and went away while the rest were just staring at you. You reached home and was immediately scolded by your grandmother

“What took you so long!? Training was supposed to end half an hour ago”
“Sorry, I stayed late with my friends”
“That's always your excuse, I told you not to make friends there”
“It just happened naturally, it's not like I wanted it myself”
“Look, they are gonna be titans soon-”
“And so am I!” you snapped before she continued.
“I'm gonna be a human devouring creature soon grandma” you said while tears build up
“I don't want to eat father”
“Yare yare”(sorry if its cringey this is the only thing that came into my mind 😭) your grandma then hugged you.
“I watched your father eat your grandfather, it was a harsh sight, but they know it was for their own good, your father's dream is to free Eldian who are in Marley, he almost joined the Eldia Restorationist but I begged him not to, your mother hates those Island Devils but I don't” you looked at her confused.
“I don't hate them because on what I had heard, they are also Eldians like us, to be fair, they are a much free-er version of us. Hating one's kind is a very big sin, I want you to go there and see for yourself, are they as devilish as they sound, or are they just normal people like us”

From that day your curiosity of the Island was build up. You wanted to make your father's wish come true so you tried your best.

“You son of a bit*h!” Porco says as he hit Reiner again for the third time
“Porco stop” Marcel tried stopping his younger brother. The warriors had now get their own titans, everyone in your gang got it except Porco which made him furious. While they were rattling around, all you could think was the memories you got from your father and grandfather, your interest in the Island grew wider and wider. The time the warriors are gonna set out to retake the Founding Titan is about 7 months from now, you couldn't bear the waiting you have to do so you decided to go there alone. That night, you saw a ship on it's way to Paradis, the Eldians there were gonna be used for you guys on your mission. You went in and tried to be as sneaky as you can. Luckily, no one caught you. The next day, you reached Paradis, as easy as it was to get in, it was the complete opposite for the way out. You had to time perfectly the moment the boxes were gonna be moved. After when it felt like ages you finally managed to get out. You were running through the forest like your life depends on it. (just so you know, the time when the warrior trio became titan shifters, they were 11 I believe so since you are three years older, you are now 14 😄 my current age) You were out for the whole afternoon, then you saw a horse in a stable which seemed to be abandoned, you tried taking the horse and just then, an old woman came out of a small cabin which was covered in vines and dust.
“Please kid, help me” the old woman cried out, you looked behind her and saw a titan who was just eating a human and was ready to eat the old woman. You know if you transform, the Marleyans would know the lightning. You saw a sword and take it, you started running towards the titan and started hitting its nape. You continuously hit the nape while the woman looked in fear. You finish it off, she hasn't move an inch, you thought that she was too shock to move or something.
“Hey old geezer” you said and touched her shoulder. She fell down, you looked in confusion, you checked her pulse and it wasn't beating so you just assume she pass due to trauma or something
“Poor you”
You started looking around for food, you found a bread and 3 apples on a plate which was knocked over. No matter how dirty the outside looks, it was still cleaner on the inside. You decided to eat it and stayed there until the morning came. You gave the old lady a normal burial and left with her horse. You reached an area where there were walls, you swore you also heard some murmurings.
Just then, you saw 3 titans approaching you, you closed your eyes thinking this is the end for you and before you knew it, 2 people wearing a cloak came and took down the titans, the other one looked at the other
“That was a nice clean hit wasn't it Erwin? ”
