It was the next morning that I stood inside the middle of the abandoned house broken down living room looking at the mess that I had made I knew the house will be taken care of that's not something that I'm worried about but I know I had to get this done and over with I finished picking up my tools putting them back inside the case I checked around the living room once more making sure that I hadn't left anything that would leave any clues that I was here and would have happened that night but I spotted something in the corner of the room a wallet I picked it up not looking in it instead putting it inside my pocket I walked out to the old truck that wasn't too far away from the house putting all my tools inside the backseat walking over and zipping my black duffel bag taking out my gasoline I shut the car door walking back up the broken steps inside the living room pouring gasoline everywhere you know something this house has potential it's a perfect kill spot nobody would suspect anything not even a group of stupid teenagers would come in here they would be too fearful of what had happened here before to say this house has a messed up history is in understatement I see why nobody would want to come near it let along in it I started to breathe in the smell of the gasoline and hummed as I poured it everywhere all over the steps all over the kitchen all over the living room everywhere I always liked the smell of gasoline it always reminds me that this is life is not a dream you can wake up from a bad nightmare no this is a reality a dark one at that honestly we're all just a bunch of machines working for people who can't do their own work we're not human beings at least not any more I shook my head of my thoughts i stood outside the house deciding to be somewhat poetic and say my final words to the house "You know I know we haven't known each other for that long but I feel like if I stayed here more we could have been great friends but you lived too long you deserve rest one of us needs to get it" I smiled grabbing my lighter flicking it going it into the house walked away getting inside my truck getting the keys out of my pocket putting them inside the ignition starting it I hear the roar of the engine as it comes to life I pull out of the woods heading on the dirt road looking out of my rearview mirror to see the house in flames I couldn't help but smile put on some music knowing this was going to be a long ride
