OH BOY, THIS IS GONNA BE JUICY, BOYS AND GIRLS! *rubs hands together*
.....What an energetic opening.
So I'm sure we've seen a YouTube comment section at some point where the comment section is mostly filled with something in the video that people just can't let go of.
I remember a Wansee Entertainment video where the main character was referred to as "he" at some point while the avatar was a girl. The comment section was filled with people making fun of it and almost nothing else in the video was talked about.
Thank goodness for some of the people in the comments who were telling others to stop talking about it.
Well, the stuff like that also happens here.
The first story I've created on here was a Soul Eater genderbend. Some of the names were kept while others were changed or were slightly changed.
The story has 6 chapters and only takes about 10 minutes to read, but to this day, I still have people correcting me about the names and what they should be, but the story doesn't even take that long to read so can you just stop correcting me?
Besides, the story was made back in 2016 and it's 2021 now. I'm not going to edit it any time soon, let alone change all the names since that's what the book used multiple times and it would be a pain to edit all the names to what the readers want.
Then there's also the fact that I wrote the book, so instead of complaining, make your own genderbend with names you actually like instead of telling someone stuff like "(Character name) would still be (character name)".
Besides, some of the reasons I kept the names the same were because I thought it was fine for the character. Reasons why other names were chosen would've been because either it was popular online, but other reasons were because I used the same names for some of the characters and I'd change them up to prevent confusion.
There was one reader I got who complained about a name and almost made it sound as if the reader was reading an x reader story. I don't think the person even finished the story because of that.
Now let's get onto the next point, which are weird Wattpadders.
So I'm sure that some of you have seen a YouTube comment or more that makes absolutely no sense. Whether or not that's happened to you on here, some people you meet are going to be strange.
So there was this girl who REALLY wanted me to help her write a book. Let's just say she wouldn't take no for an answer and wouldn't leave me alone about it. She would send me pms and even write stuff in a book of mine and talk about her own book.
Her story wasn't even good. No, seriously, it wasn't.
She left me alone after I read her book, but there's another kid who takes the cake. This one was way more recent.
So first this kid struck up a conversation with me on my message board about a show we like. He seemed pretty nice although I got a weird vibe from him and he sent me a message sometime after the conversation.
So I replied to it, and after I did, he wanted ME to write HIM into a....let's just say he wanted me to put him into a certain type of story. The weird thing is that the way he worded it made it seem like he thought this story of mine existed, but I haven't even written that kind of story, or at least not yet.
I was pretty shocked and replied with "Excuse me? What?" and he responds with the show we talked about. I tell him he got me confused for someone else and he goes "Dont you write (name) stories"
I tell him I do but not the kinds he wanted and then proceed to tell him there's more to life than writing stories for that show. And yes, he wrote his response like that.
