They hopped up on top of a building to take a quick rest. Mya pulled out two granola bars from her bag, handing one to her brother.
"Thanks.", he murmured as he ripped open the packaging.
They sat on top of the roof for a good five minutes before the pair decided it'd be best if they continued going. Mya took her brother's hand, smiling reassuringly as they plummeted to the concrete below.

As they were maneuvering their way through the complicated alleyways of Hosu, they bumped into someone.
"—Gah!", the man exclaimed in his surprise. "The hell?" he glared at the two white-haired children that had interrupted his stride.
"Ah!", the girl exclaimed, "My apologies, sir!", she bowed, then quickly slipped through beside him, dragging her brother with her.
"Oi.",  he snagged the hood of her hoodie, "What are you two kids doing out at— what is it?", he opened his phone, "Four AM?" he shifted his torso to face them.
The girl's face grew flustered as she tried to come up with a quick excuse. Running into someone was not part of her genius plan. "Uhm— I—", she began.
"We got lost.", the boy spoke up, "We're not from
the city."
He raised a brow, they were obviously lying, and looked no older than 12. He couldn't exactly go to the cops, seeing as he was a notorious villain... "How about I give you kids a place to stay for the night?", he suggested. "Then... tomorrow I'll take you to the police station.", he reasoned with himself that if he didn't actually go inside the station, he would just drop them off, everything would be a-okay.
The girl turned to her brother, a seemingly telepathic sort of communication going between the two went on for a bit before she spoke. "Can you order pizza?", she asked.
He froze for a moment before nodding, "That's doable."
"Cool.", she grinned, "We're coming with you!"

———

He sighed as he stared at the two similarly featured children sleeping on his couch, an empty pizza box sitting on the coffee table. Now, he wouldn't pride himself too much on being a neat guy, but his house was immaculate. Barely any dust, everything is perfectly organized, his many bookshelves arranged by color, his fridge in a constant state of cleanliness, the whole shebang. But... he really didn't want to wake those kids up. The floors of his cheap apartment were terribly creaky so he had to relent to leaving the greasy box there for a few more hours. The pair had scarfed down that whole pizza in no more than 3 minutes and conked out immediately after. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen someone so relaxed as those two siblings did on his couch.
Myo was the first to stir, sitting up and rubbing the sleepiness from his eyes. The boy drowsily turned towards the man that was glaring rather menacingly at the pizza box. "What's your name?", he asked.
He raised his eyebrows, "Oh! You can call me Magma.", he smiled. "What's your name?"
"I'm Myo, that's Mya." he yawned. The boy noticed his apprehension to approach, "She's a deep sleeper.", he tried to reassure the man but their ever monotone voice didn't help much.
Magma slowly nodded, "Cool...", he approached cautiously, sliding the pizza box off of the table and scampering over to the kitchen to toss it in the recycle.
The girl shifted as Myo shook her awake, groaning as she sat up. "Myoooo~...", she yawned. "You know I don't like being woken up after using my quirk."
The young boy nodded, "Yeah.", he whispered, "But we're in Magma's house."
"Magma?", she stared at the man who was washing last night's dishes in the sink. "Oh." The girl stood, stretching her body with a few twists and cracks. "Thanks for letting us stay here, sir." she bowed.
The man turned towards the girl, "Hm? It's no problem at all." he smiled awkwardly, what was his tired brain thinking?!, he internally screeched at himself. I am the worst with kids. "Do you two mind telling me why you were actually out so late?" he asked, turning off the facet.
Mya turned towards Myo, who just stared at his sister silently. She sighed, "We ran away from home.", she shrugged. "Momma wasn't very nice so we just, y'know, left."
The ginger man nodded, "Understandable. I doubt you'd want to go to the police station if that were the case."
The white haired girl nodded.
He walked over, his hands on his hips, "You can stay here for a few more days as long as you don't break anything."
Once again, the twins silently stared at each other for a full minute before Myo spoke, "We have a deal, Magma!", she grinned.

A/N: And there's the second chapter! (this is all prewritten). I apologize if my chapters seem short, they'll get longer as the story goes on I swear! Most of the beginning is very short and sweet, written in little tidbits of the twins' story. How do you feel about Magma?
