Two Months Later (so many time skips sorry!)
"I'm having your mother's lecture today!" I gasped seeing my timetable.
"It's going to be fine, she won't bother you." Jungkook shrugged while shoving stuff into his backpack. He and his parents are on speaking terms, though his father is still bitter about him choosing a filmography major.
It's another typical morning of us running late at his house. Yes, we both got into Seoul National University and majored in the subjects we dreamt of. Our freshman year has started not long ago and we've been busy since.
I spent a lot of time at Jungkook's house, it's almost like I moved in with him. He suggested me moving in but I don't want to stay too far away from my family so it didn't happen.
"You sure? The last time I saw her she wanted to rip my head off me." I shivered to recall the memories.
"The last time you saw her, her only son is hospitalised that's why she's a little uh... unfriendly. It's called maternal instinct, baby." Jungkook laughed and took my purse from him.
"What's your mother like...usually?" I asked, "Is there something I have to be aware of?"
"She's calm and gentle at most times unless you hurt her baby— me." Jungkook chuckled seeing me rolling my eyes. He helped me wore my helmet while I kept bombarding him with questions about his mother.
I couldn't help it. Although we didn't have a good impression of each other, she's still Jungkook's mother, my future mother-in-law. The last time ended on a bad note but it can be changed right? I feel obligated to put the effort into building our relationship.
"Relax," Jungkook climbed on his motorcycle and turned around to press a kiss on my lips. "I promise, I'll be just fine."
"If you say so," I heaved a sigh and hugged his waist as he set off.
In a lecture hall full of unfamiliar faces, I sat down on the left side alone. Without Jungkook, my social anxiety eats me up. Along with the nervousness of meeting Jungkook's mom, I felt my body reacting naturally, sweaty palms, rapid breathing and more.
The sound of high heels clicking the wooden floor echoed in the hall catching people's attention. The gorgeous woman walked in with a smile and settled her files on the counter.
