A few days later: Soarin's POV

It had been about three days since Blaze was allowed to come home with us. As soon as we reached out house, you would've expected us to maybe celebrate or get something to eat. But, because it was around 1 in the morning, the first thing we done was a simple flop into the bed with Blaze and headed off into dreamland.

It was around 10am and I was the first to wake up. After a few stretches, I placed one arm on the headboard and looked towards Dash as she slept peacefully. I suddenly thought of a funny thing to do to her while snickering quietly.

Without making any noise, I began to scratch the back of her head and caressed her mane slightly. I had to resist bursting out laughing. Mainly because Blaze was sleeping in his crib, but also because Dash began to purr like a kitten, shifting a little in her sleep with a smile on her face.

I continued to do this for the next few minutes, but at the same time made sure not to wake her up. After all, she did need her rest.

After a little while, her eyes began to flutter open. I slithered down to lay next to her and nuzzled her cheek gently. I was soon looking into the tired eyes of my gorgeous, little marefriend as she leaned in for a kiss. Everything I could have ever asked for.................was perfect. We broke apart after a few seconds, staring into each others eyes.

"Morning, sunshine." I whispered, careful not to wake Blaze up. She stretched for a little bit before staring at me again.

"Morning, Soar." Her voice was breaking slightly as she had just woke up. As we were about to..............have some fun, quality time to ourselves (cough cough), we suddenly heard Blaze crying so loud both me and Dash winced and covered our ears. This was so not planned.

Without hesitation, Dash rolled over and got up quickly, carefully picking up Blaze from his crib and placing him next to me as I tried calming him down, but me handling kids is like having broccoli and ice cream together.........it doesn't work. Thankfully, a mare knows how to work her creations.

Blaze's cries became quieter and quieter until he began giggling and cooing as Dash worked her magic. She had blew raspberries into his stomach, nuzzled and booped his noes, all whilst baby-talking to him.

I stared in shock with my mouth agape before it formed into a smile. Next thing you know, I was joining in.

Today is going to be a great day....................
