"Sweety, do you think you can close the shop for me," questioned my Mother through my phone.
"Sure Mom," I mumble under my breath before hanging up.
It was 8:00 and I didn't even study for my Algebra test tomorrow
I had to help out my Mom with the new bakery we opened up. People were lining up just to get a taste of our newest cupcake, Sweet as Sugar.
If i'm being honest with you..I don't enjoy working at the bakery. I never hang out with my friends (that I don't have). I never have time to do my homework (that I don't even do). And sometimes, popular kids from school come to the bakery. It's bad enough that I already see them at school. You might not think it's not that bad. But in reality, it's hell.

I remember when Jake Steel came here. He's the most popular boy (and cutest) in all of Bark Wood High. He came to buy a cake for his 5 year old sister about a week ago. You might think that it's no big deal, but it really is. Sometimes I try to hide from them. It's true, I'm shy. Serving them is kinda...awkward in a way.One time, I had to serve Savannah Hayes. The most popular girl at school. Queen of the Cheer Squad. And yes, she is currently dating Jake Steel. If it wasn't already obvious enough.
She was picking up a order of cupcakes for a cheer leading after party. She is the definition of perfect. Well, she is now.
(But that's another tale for another's time)Anyway, I was freaking out when I had to take her order. I ended up hiding from her in the bathroom. My mom was fortunately working that day and ended up taking her order for me.
Embarrassing, I know.
I just couldn't show my face.
~•~•~I grabbed my bags and flipped the sign to say, closed. I locked the doors with the rust old key in my pocket. I turned around and continued to walk down the cracked sidewalk with all the street lights blinding me in the dark purple sky full of twinkling stars..
As I walked to go home I began to think.
What if he doesn't like you?
What if she gets mad if I talk to him?
What if-
My thoughts where interrupted by a honking car as I crossed the street.
I cussed at the slick black mustang that almost ran over me. People these days, am I right?I continued to wonder as I entered my house. And that's when I remembered that I still didn't do my homework.
Great!I can't believe I actually wrote my first chapter guys! Shout out to all those people who supported my in the making of the first chapter:
